This is a note from a member of the 'silent majority' (those who lurk behind their keyboards). Recent postings in this forum violate the covenants of the agreement subscibed to by 'most' who use it (read them). The few people who choose to ignore these decent guidelines have very little, or next to nothing, to add to the professionalism of this industry's craftsmanship and character, which are two of the purposes of this site.
Each individual's contributions can be of benefit to all of us and our industry. We all have an opportunity to create a part of our legacy. How will your consituents think of you?
Yes, we have been vicariously watching a cyber
bar fight. A comment lights a short fuse and suddenly a fun evening comes to an end. It flashes through our mind at breakfast the next morning and is forgotten well before lunch.

i must to give in to the truth i years ago was picked up by aliens. it happened in the 70's in cerritos new mexico. i was ridding my scooter thru the hills smoking a good one when i felt externall forces taking over. there i was stranded when all of a sudden i seen lights off in the distance, i was both scaed and intrigued at the same time. to make a long story short they took me aboard of course we couldnt comunicate but i shared my stash with them and the urges took over and we went to taco bell. i wish i new spanish them guy's were probably saying some funny shit.

You know, with all the nonsense on here the last few days, and I really only started reading it around the middle of the week, it is just that! NONSENSE!!!!!!! "Whitfield", I would'nt know him from Adam, but what I've seen on here he seems like a good guy. Most of the regulars seem like good guys. There are a few who seem like they're probably using up oxygen that could be put to good use, like welding or something. 98% of what's on here is outstanding, several times somebody has a problem with a bucket, they post a question explaining the problem and people are offering suggestions or giving out their phone numbers to help solve the problem. That is great!!!! My hat is off to those people. In a time when, in most cases, we don't want our names, numbers, addresses or any identifying information made public, there is a trust on here that is unheard of. Last week that was destroyed!!!!! Nobody deserves that nonsense, practical joke or not. It was a vicious attack on someone in the most cowardly way possible. If you want to screw around with someone be man enough to screw around with someone in a situation where he can defend himself, and be ready to face the consequences of your actions. I realize that my putting this out there for the world to see is opening myself up to face the wrath of the "HACK" myself, but we all need to let it be known that we don't find it amusing. I will become a new dad the end of this week and that is something that scares the hell out of me. I believe I saw something on here about Whitfield going to a spelling bee with his kids, most of you out there probably have kids, and wives, and mothers, and sisters, and on, and on, and on. Nobody wants their kid to click back on their toolbar and see something like that, that would appear to have been written by their dad. The "HACK" probably has a family of his own, although he probably does'nt support them. Nonetheless, even he would'nt want that whole thing reversed and done to him. Jokes, chatter, razzing each other back and forth, hellos to old freinds, and above all else, the never ending willingness to assist each other, lets hope for all our sakes it goes on forever, and lets also hope that somebody makes lots of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$! We don't need the nonsense that was on here last week. Nobody needs it and above all else the person on the recieving end should'nt be done that way. If you have a problem with somebody, deal with them like a man.
