An 82 year old man went to the Doctor to get a physical.The Doctor cautioned him about his age and sent him home with a lecture on the proper lifestyle.A few days later,the Doctor saw the man walking down the street with a gorgeous young lady on his arm.At his follow up visit,the Doctor said to the man,"You must really be doing great!"The man replied,"Just doing what you said Doc:"get a hot mamma and be cheerful."The Doctor said,"I didn't say that.I said you've got a heart murmur.Be careful!"

So here I am a Cable Contractor, honest, hardworking, and out to make a buck like everyone else. So I get this job hanging Power Supplies In a New England state south of Mass and east of Ct. So one day me and my buddy are out busting our asses wrestling cabinets and batteries, when along comes this little old man who says we can't work anymore because we don't have a electricians liscence to wire the plugs PAST the breaker. So I have to go to court and when I do, Im told not to worry by the prime and the Cable Co. they have a lawyer and a RSA that says Catv lineman, telephone lineman, and Railroad lineman are exempt from all Federal electrical codes. Well not so when it comes to the State of fucking RI. See the whole fucking state is crooked, and federal laws don't apply there. So now I have to pay a $250.00 fine. By the way no one has offered to stand up to the plate and pay it either. And to Don Sheridan the electrician that ratted us out, so he could hang the Power supply's thanks buddy. I won't forget you any time soon. Some racket you got there Don you rat out a sub for Cox yet you still get to work there. Hmmmm sounds like someones hands might be a little dirty. But take my warning Cable dawgs don't work in RI it sucks everyone is a flaming asshole and the whole piece of shit state is CROOKED!!!!!!!!!

Just thought you would like to know the same thing happened to me in Ct.I fought it and it ended up costing me $375.So no more New England for me!

Good morning all,I just read what you men wrote about power supplys,that is pretty messed up.I'd of been real pissed.Glad it wasn't me.Lets see if any body remerbers this.It was when the Mountain was rebuilding Myrtle Beach S.C.,the construction warehouse was located off 10th street.Any way ,I was there splicing and got lucky enough to get the wreck out on,those three battery lemcos.When it started I asked Time Warner,where the wanted me ot put what I wrecked out.He said put it right here,(which was right outside the main door)we'll do something with them.I said your sure this is where you want them?He said yes.If I remerber correctly it was a three day weekend.I belive we took down 40 some odd power supplys,weather head ,meter base everything.It looked like a power supply grave yard.I left room at the big door to get in,and a path between power supplys to the small door. T.W.'s head mans parking spot was also all power supplys.I can still remerber the look on that mans face when he got there on Monday morning.He was pissed.The mountain had to get some of their inhouse to move them.Because I sure as hell wasn't going to move them.I just wondered if anybody reading was there then.I have laughed about that for years.It to me only demonstrated why we encounter problems,in our rebuilds.It takes alot of thought, prep and leg work,to make a job run right and I've seen so many times the mother co. thinks its properly prepared when its not. Whitfield!!!It has just now become apparent to me that I know you.Your'e Jerry the former power supply man for "that" company that doesn't pay their retainage right?All these months and I never knew...Well I sure hope the industry is treating you right my man, as you may or may not know me and rog are on our way to primedom...I give all the credit to GOD but some of the credit goes to you and the retainage keeper.You because you inspired us...after you showed us those "check stubs" in PA. it opened up our minds to the "what if"...I suppose we owe a small amount of gratitude to the retainage keeper too for tricking us into becoming contractors in the first place...sure wish he'd do us right though!Anyway I praise the LORD for I have learned when you do right by HIM he does right by you.Well good luck with everything you endeavor my old friend and GOD bless.I just can't get over "you were you" and I didn't know.
