Good evening all,Doug what you said about the farmers is pretty heavy,It made me stop and think of all of the places that were small farms around my hometown,and of how many of them are no longer here.I worked on a farm for five years,growing up as a boy,and I can't remeber anything easy about it.I grew up out in the country,farms all around me,out of the five farmers, there is only one left,now fields ,I use to hunt in as a boy ,are all housing sub divisions,the woods I mostly hunted ,gone also.Expansion growth,it seems like a snowball rolling down hill, the way land is disappearing around here.Well enough about the farmers.The fisheries took some shrimp samples in the nursery areas around here the other day,they said it was the best they have seen for twenty years,at least the price will be low this year.Good for the consumer "ME"!! we have great tasting shrimp here.I can't wait until they get to be 21/25 count "COBBS" .We have three different kinds of shrimp here.It the spring its spotted ,in the summer its brown,and late summer-early fall they are green tails,they are my favorite.Alot of people I grew up with run trawlers.May be if any of you all make it down here this year will throw a seafood feast.I've said enough for now.Later,hope everbody has a good night.

Before anyone gets offended and comes after my pecker with an .875 coring tool, I meant no disrespect to the farmers or any one related to working the land to provide for themselves and their families. It was just an inapropriate bit of comic relief. God Bless all.

ok i have decided to take everyones advice and get a life. now first of all i thought i had the latest browsers and search engines but everytime i type in get a life it comes back empty. now is there a special web site for getting a life or do you need a password or code? also i am not on my computor i have it sitting on a desk should i actually be sitting on top of it or what? please help i am so confused

I know this is America and we are a freedom
country and we have freedom of speach but it doesnt mean that you can Curse on here. My gosh I have typed this much and havent cursed yet. Can we all with the potty mouths practice that. Lets have respect for the women that read on cabl.com too. Thanks

Same here GW, a lot of the farms around here are grown over and falling down I to spent my youger years on a farm, mostly summer work and there's nothing easy about it, in my opinion the goverment has made it complicated to run a farm, youv'e got these people that couldn't grow a weed pulling all the strings, they pay farmers not to grow crops now what kind of message does that send? and the farmers association is getting as corrupt as the people they are supposedly defending the farmer from, and I guess what really bothers me is when did growing crops to feed people go out of fashion? something is wrong here, very wrong.

Sorry for the typo's, younger, and too complicated, I miss those big southern shrimp, I like rock shrimp too, there's a couple places I used to go to in Fla, Goodriches fish camp in Oak Hill has a all you can eat on Friday nights, Dixie Crossroads in Titusville is also very good, then there's the Belmont crab house in Cocoa, we had some down time once in NC and ended up out on Harkers Island, we lived off what we caught for a couple weeks, shrimp, blue crabs and scallops, we would all head out in seperate directions in the morning and then meet up that afternoon and split up the bounty, a seafood feast every night, it was 2 of the best weeks I can remember,,,,
