There are many ways around the serial #s. I have worked on several mini systems in large apartment complexies that had a mixture of SA,jerrold,texscan amps and taps. When I asked why the mix, employer avioded to answer. When an amp goes bad he would throw them away.Systems like these are all over the country. They put in a small headend and service 300 to 1000 subs, about an average node. Do there own installs,d/c and tbl calls. Not a bad gig to run 5 or 6 of these,most do very well for themselves. I'm not saying there stealing or doing any thing illegal,but these guys could buy stolen eqiupment and never get busted.

Mr. Deleberto, It does vary from state to state, for instance in Arizona anything over 100.00 dollars is considered "Grand theft", and therefore a Felony... seems like you need to get your facts straight...
