Mike Gaff, It does not matter to me if you gave that computer to the tooth fairy. you and I had an agreement, you left my office with the computer, I received nothing for it in return. not to mention the money I loaned you in excess of $1000.00. but that's cool, I can live with it. ... By the way Cable World, I received my retainage today from Glen of Crown Fiber,(all of it). Glen Segars is a man of his word, and can be trusted 100%. He also comes up with some good work. reputation is everything. -TC.

There ya go Doug Glenny was a prime example of a productive "Toker" wasn't to many people at the Mt. that could beat him when it came to splicing. I remember my first day of splicing training with him his first words out of his mouth were "Laddy can you roll?" Oh the guy use to make me laugh all day long.

Ya Glenn is a good man, he came up to me one day and says" you know your fucked when your boss hates your guts" Glenn is a clasic example of what the establishment isn't, and I agree, the crack heads are the ones to watch, they'll sell thier own shoes never mind all the gear on your truck, the shits evil, seen it destroy some good men.

the days are counting down towards CableLand Railways ground breaking! this is better than christmas! but to get is thing goig in a 'true' cable setting i need some help from ANYBODY that is willing. i want to create a true cable train by taking the winning logo in the CableLand Ry contest and repainting the locomotives, using the new logo. now for the cars, i am buying plain-jane box cars/tankers (no name/writing) and i want to use ACTUAL COMPANY LOGO's, 1 company per car, 1 logo on either side. wont cost the 'sponsers' a dime except 4 the stickers/dry transfers. so if ANYONE can assist me, it would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. i need to get these as soon as possible. one of the end results of this train is that the garden railway society that i belong to, is hosting next years large scale train show (which is a HUGE event) and i want to display this 'cable train' as i believe people would find it both unique AND interesting. so i ask you my cable brothers and sisters to help if you can. still looking for those damn elusive scale bucket trucks!!! we're on it! any assistance post here or e-mail me. Doug, thank you! I'm new to the field. I've worked in telephone the last 13 years, and now I'm trying cable. I was a line foreman and a splicer for a regional Bell operator. As soon as I can get everthing together I'm going to make a run at this. Where is the most money made in this field?

Apache, let me give you some honest friendly advice. I have done both telephone and catv construction in my 14 yrs of line work and want to emphasize that they are nothing and I do repeat NOTHING alike. I see by your postings that you are starting out, I caution you don't try it alone not knowing anything about cable, it will tarnish your name and reputation beyond repair. I will honestly tell you that you will work harder doing cable than you ever did phone. I think if I was you I would try and join up with someone and don't go it alone. Theres alot to learn, I've been in linework for 14yrs and spent about 10 in cable. The cables splice different, lash different there are no similarity's whatsoever other than they are on the same pole. Good luck to you in your venture, just remember that inexperience does not go over well in the cable field and that green beans are often called idiots. You sound smart do yourself a favor and join up with someone for about a year or two, then try going out on your own. By the way MDU's are multi dwelling units, apartment buildings.
