Thanks, Terry. You hit the nail right on the head. He is too chicken shit to say who he is because he knows he is full of shit. I can about guarantee that it is Ben from Protel, because that is his M.O. He knows absolutely nothing about cable, so he figures that bullshit sounds good. Little does he realize he sounds like a complete fucking idiot.

Terry, if I were you I'd watch that boy very carefully and I'd keep one eye on the till. You need to follow your own advice.

The liability out-weighs any production you might think you have. Hell, he's known to get high at work and get others high at work and then tell the contractor off. I wouldn't want to be in your shoes if an accident happens to someone on the job or an innocent bystander. The best thing if you hire that boy is to make him take random drug tests.. and often... VERY OFTEN. Sooner or later he'll be telling you how to run your company. He's a hack. I hope the contractor doesn't find he on your job site. Just some friendly advice from a man who hates drugs!

Andrew, I wish I was in a ring with CablesMyLife, with the bell getting things started. I really, really, really would enjoy that. I have an idea, how about CablesMyLife growing some balls and lets find a warehouse, that I am sure someone would let us square off in, and duck tape some towels to our hands, (need hands in good enough shape to splice) and just deal with it. If I am such a big druggie, Mr. Clean should be able to knock some sense into me real easy like. Not too many druggies I've encountered that could go three rounds. What do you say CML? Oh yeah, I forgot your too chicken shit to even say who you are much less have a little sparring match. Well, the offer is good whenever you are ready. Like I said, I know of quite a few that would let us use their warehouse. Be pretty entertaining, not to mention a shit load of fun.

In regards to slanderous information about individuals and companies.
FAR be it for me to JUDGE anyone here. But, I must say that the "slanderous" talk about one another, Example: Things said about Gary Vest. Is totally uncalled for. I believe since we are all in the CATV industry and are SUPPOSE to be like a Cable Brotherhood. We really should work on acting like it!
Now I know I'm going to really catch it here for saying my piece on this. But, airing other peoples "dirty laundrey" even "if" it were true is "Wrong"! This world has enough hatred going around in it without adding too it! Can't we all try to get along in here?
NO! I'm not tired of reading the Wet Cement comments.....just wishing & praying those of you with the Swords, stones, granades...etc. would put em down and shake hands!

I agree with all you have to say, MG, except the shake hands part. I feel that anyone who is that chicken shit and tries to blemish a reputation that I have worked over 18 years to establish, really just needs to have his fucking head ripped off and stuck on a stick as an example to any other candy ass, hack, wanna be that would be foolish enough to follow in his footsteps. The true dawgs out there, that truly know what's up, work hard, do WHATEVER it takes to make it happen, and have chosen this as a career do not have these types of problems. They are the ones you can actually pit together in a node and it comes together like a well oiled machine. You don't have to tell them what to do, they know. It is the Johnny Come Latelies, and cry baby, hacks that are trying to make the big money without paying the dues. The no climbing, show up late, finish late, gig leaving mongrels that rely on false accusations because that is all they have. I do not hold back when I have something to say to someone, and there have been many that couldn't handle the heat, and tucked their tails between their legs and stumbled on this site and discovered they could hide behind a screen name and THINK they are doing some kind of damage, or something, with their silly little slanderous remarks. Trouble is their true colors show and anyone with any sense, that has been out there and battled the dragon, knows just from reading their bullshit that the person writing it is obviously a moron whose words you take with a grain of salt. Do you believe half the shit you read in here? That is giving way too much credit. The only way to judge a man is to either work him, or for him, and a true dawg can tell in one day what that person is about and whether they can walk the walk. Many talk the talk, but fall flat on their face when it comes time to produce. I may not be the salt of the earth, but by God anyone who has been out there with me will tell you that I walk the walk and run circles around jerk wads like this clown who calls himself CablesMyLife. I wonder how long it has been his life and if he really knows the fucking meaning. I truly doubt it. I have probably hurt his feelings somewhere and this is his way of getting back. Quack!!!

I agree with the back stabbing part, I have only been in this industry for a year now, have worked for MasTec and CCG (now with Horizon), and have seen very few men I would call brothers, I came out of pole school and worked for a foreman doing raise and run strand in easements where I climbed every pole for 2 1/2 weeks, (He told me I had to pay my dues, and his groundhand couldn't climb)while he watched, If we came to a pole he could bucket, he did it. In the mornings I would go in the office to see what I could learn and all I saw and heard were foreman back stabbing each other (except for a handful I grew to admire) or crying about easements and clean up.When I became foreman, I got my maps, got loaded up, and went out and did my job. If it were not for the money, I would have told them to kiss my a$$.Companies could do alot of good for this industry if they take the bucket babies and can them. If You can't climb, find another job. I beleive if you are really in the cable dog brotherhood, you keep your mouth shut, do your work, and watch and see who the real dogs are, and who the wannabees are. The wannabees, You help to be dogs, do what you can for them, if they cant take it, tell them this ain't their line of work. But for God's sake, we should all work together to get the job done right. Weed out the scum as we go. Just my opinion, thanks for letting me share it with you. Bill
