Yeah right, Ben. I am sure you will send the money within 24 hours! What a laugh. So, in other words, you would have to wait about a year or so, since it would take that long to get an arrest and conviction. Must say though, as much as I can't stand Protel, I hate to hear that. If whoever took it had a problem with Protel, they should have had the balls to take it up with whoever they were pissed at. Then again, it could of just been some low life that saw a fiber trailer parked and hit it. Good luck with finding who did it.

Hey Doug? I think I have had a few of those type of subcontractors on my site!!!!!! LOL
BUT, I believe I finally found a couple of companies that can "REALLY Sweep"!!!!! Rather than "Picture takers" at best!!!!!!!!!

one more note on retainage. its a fact its here to stay. yes it should be caped.it sucks. it would not be so bad if it were paid back. and primes and mso's did a prompt qc.i dont rember whom said you had to ask for it back and tell the prime where to send it, butwhy ask for it. hell its mine i worked hard for it and i should not have to ask. as where to send it. they [the primes always know where to send my 1099] they know when its due and where th send it and more than likley have my ph#. there is no reason not to pay retainage unless you left cleanup.

Mark Splicer? Was just at that site to Vote but how the heck do you register? I pushed Vote without a name / password and it took me to a page that said "register", once I hit the register, it says the page does not exist?????

Retro Man? Know how I have "Always" gotten my retainaige back when I was a subcontractor?
1ST, You must have the proof that they retained. 2ND You must send a "registered letter" with the proof of the retainaige to the company! 3rd, get the local state laws on what the percentage is on defaults payments of funds owed to you. (The normal is 3X the amount if it's not paid) 4th Retain a lawyer (usually $200-$500 bucks) in the state that you worked in. Have him/her send a letter of demand for the Retainaige and Lawyer costs or you will suit for Retainaige, lawyer costs and 3X!!!!!!! This all depends on how well you backed up your work performed, paper work on retainaige...etc. Hope that helps a bit. It worked for me!!!!

Hey Rex, heard the bad news about the Texas job. Sorry about that man. I know you always tried to look out for your people. How is Albert doing, I heard he had an operation? I have had a set back myself, but still keeping on. Great skiing up here this year. Until I popped my chest again that is.

M.G and everyone else, www.mylargescale.com/forum/register.asp?mode=register to register to vote for CableLand's picture. only 4 things to fill out- email addy, user name, password, repeat password. then go to www.mylargescale.com/photocontest/display.asp?month=03 to vote. the MyLargeScale.com webmaster is workng on a new server, much as cabl.com's webmaster did. this is the reason to have to vote like this. th bright side? besides the right to vote, if you register, you have the right to bash anything i say in the forum! lol! thanks for the support mark! several others had the same difficulties and this is how they were overcome.
