Hey Richard - Just giving what I thought was sound advice. I did not say anything about BamaTech, or whatever it was called. I do not know the particulars, and really do not want to, just giving an opinion on "retainage". Did it not sound realistic? I believe you know where I am coming from, no offense to you at all.

Been haering alot of inquiries through the bar & wet cement on Premier Cable. As far as them ripping people off, and not receiving their retainage.I for one have worked for them in Ohio and have never had a problem with payroll or retainage. Mike Johnson Sr who I have dealt with is a stand up guy and Mike Jr.who I also dealt with in winston-salem seems to have his act together. I don't see why anyone has a problem w/them.As far as I'm concerned they are a stand-up/reputible company.

WHOEVER IT CONCERNS, I CONTRACTED WITH PREMIER IN OCT. OF 99. THEY NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH MY WORK.I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH MY PAYCHECK. IT CAME RIGHT ON TIME, BUT.... I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE MY RETAINAGE AFTER SEVERAL REQUESTS'. SAME SMELL WITH CROWN FIBER...WHEN THEY SPEAK OF RETAINAGE,YOU MIGHT AS WELL DEDUCT THAT AMOUNT FROM YOUR GROSS PAY TO GET YOU'RE TRUE PRICE YOU WILL BE PAID.... IF YOU ARE A MAN OF YOU'RE WORD {MIKE OF PREMIER AND GLEN OF CROWN} THEN PLEASE PAY ME THE MONEY THAT YOU CONTRACTED FOR. 10% HELD FOR OVER A YEAR IS LONG ENOUGH. ARE YOU WAITING FOR THE FUCKING CABLE TO DRY ROT OR WHAT ?

I guess if word of mouth is of any value; Then I must say In 42 yrs of listening , I never heard of anyone claiming arkansas as the land of milk and honey.In fact I'd say most lost a little more weight than they expected !!!! ( wallet included !! )

4' of snow in the yard and we are getting 10 more", WTF?, retainage can be a bitch, one of the reasons I got out of contracting, if I was to gather it all up from past projects,,,,, hell, I'd buy a new a new truck! too many loop holes in the system concerning retainage, and we are on the losing end, assault charges arn't werth it, I see it, in most cases as money lost right out of the gate and it doesn't matter about the quality of your work, they can always find or fabriate SOMETHING to hold it!

Arkansas is now my home state. I can say that it's not absolutely terrible on the wallet. But, the "Ice Storm" did cause some serious issues in the Sweep Dept. I can't say it's been the best site, But I can't say it's been the worst site! If you don't like to really "work" on a project........this would definately be the wrong site for you. LOL
