Well Dan not that I want to get into it with you. But.....No this company didn't get rid of the dead weight they got rid of excellent managers and replaced them with Power guys, you know the lineman that work at the top of the pole. Why you ask? Well if you know anything about the line industry (Which Im begining to question) you'd know that Power guys make alot less than most cable guys. There was nothing half ass about me traveling the united states and spending 2-3 weeks away from my family at a time and busting my ass trying to make deadlines that Power guys made that were unrealistic. The only thing half as at the little piss ant company in billerica is the family management. You don't know you didn't work there so why don't you keep you f#cking mouth shut. I can see that you could never work for my team of superstar splicers because you seem like an arrogan f#ck that only likes to run his mouth, just remember the cable world is small and someday I might get the oppurtunity to shut it.

Can someone give me some true definitions?:retro, rebuild,upgrade. maybe someone can give me word for the the definition of making 20yr.old cable look like it's brand new? I just wan to make sure I'm in the same cable book as all the other cbldwgs that are out here tryingto make a living.Thanx for any imput that will be given!

Hey Brett, Im sittin here at my kitchen table looking at 2 whitetails feeding on corn I put out yesterday, one of them is a buck, has no horns, been looking for them know there around here somewhere. Went coyote huntin yesterday, saw 2 @ about 250', couldnt get a shot but will try again today. Im on 2000 acres of the finest mississippi river bottom in Iowa. your thoughts?

To Cblthmpr, Retro is where big cable companies think that they can put bandaids on plant that's already served it's time. They think that the return will work fine, that you can make something that some hack made look like crap 15yrs ealier look brand new, they think that they can keep up with the big wigs like RCN who are building state of the art plants and they think that they are saving money. Personally I think that Retro's suck, there agravating especially during sweep and usually if you have someone running around after you gigging something that someone did years before you were in cable, they're not a real money maker for the splicing contractor. Overall diagnosis of a retro, sh!t work.
