Did everyone forget that their personal best was done uphill both ways, in hip deep snow after a blazing sand storm during the longest drought in recorded history? Hey, I know a bunch of guys who are damn good and the industry bebefits from their contribution. Good is as good does. Nothin' else to say about that.(you go Forrest Gump)

THE COLD WITHIN
Six humans were trapped by happenstance
In the black and bitter cold
Each one possed a stick of wood
Or so the storys told
Their dying fire in need of logs
The first woman held hers back
For the faces around the fire
She noticed that one of them was black
The next man looking cross the way
Saw one not of his church
And couldn't bring himself to give
The first stick of birch
The third sat in tattered clothes
He gave his coat a hitch
Why should his log be put to use
To warm the idle rich
The rich man just sat back and thought of
the wealth he had in store
And how to keep what he had earned
From the lazy shiftless poor
The black man's face bespoke revenge
As the fire passed from sight
For all he saw in his stick of wood
Was a chance to spite the white
And the last man of this forlorn group
Did not except for gain
Giving to only those who gave
Was how he played the game
The logs held tight in deaths still hands
Was proof of human sin
They didn't die from the cold without
They died from the cold within.

Hey Splicer,you might try the industrial yellow pages under plastic,or contact some of the major toy manufactures,or try dogpile search,or go to the cable yellow pages,get the # to HBO,call and ask them where they get theirs,be sure to tell anyone you speak to what you are trying to do.I would also ask if they have anything they would like to donate.Also let them know you would like to include their co.name on a sponsor placque as this will be a public display.Be sure to write down the persons name to whom you are speaking.Also ask do they need a letter sent to someone,before the contribution can be made.You might start first by finding out who the head person in charge is and speak to them first,let them refer down the line.I hope this information has helped.

hbo has model trains? lol. you ARE speaking of the premium service hbo, correct? i doubt they would be able to assist in this particular search but you just gave me a great idea about billboards/advertising in 'CableLand'. thanks! here was another suggestion made to me: apparently there is a NASCAR track (cant remember where) that is built by mainline tracks. heard that when the cars are racing and the train goes by, its pretty cool. now i need to learn the location and how i would build a racetrack to 1:29 scale. anyone?

Just thought I'd share this,last weekend,my wife,daughter,youngest son,and 12year old son stayed with her sister and her mother at the condo, at the ocean.Saturday night the church had a steak cook out,I took my oldest son,and his girlfriend.I was privledged with being able to help cook the steaks,man ,let me tell you, they were good!! When I got home,I called my sister-inlaws,my tweleve year old son answered,we were talking,and he said,dad I bet our steaks,that ,we, ate ,were better than yours,I said ,no way, ours were Blessed beef, it has to be better.We talked a little longer and then we hang up.Five minutes go by,my wife calls back,I can tell she has been laughing,she gets this silly tone,she said,did you tell Morgan ,that your steak, was better, because, it was blessed beef?I thought for a second,I said ,yes ,I did.She was quiet for a second ,then she replied ,Your right,then she started to snicker as she said"HOLY COW" just thought I'd share this.It tickled me. thanks cl! if i didnt really want to know i would'nt have asked. just realized what you meant about hbo gerald. might be worth looking into. still looking for operating capital for the railway. anybody got an honest days pay for a honest days splicing???
