Richard Venturelli, thank you for the compliment. I hope I have the chance to work with you in the future, I wouldn't say that about hardly anyone else here. I noticed that if you make an intellectual comment in here, it just goes over 99% of the people’s heads in here. They should really go back to some reading material that they can comprehend like Green Eggs & Ham. Usually the only one that has any thing to say back is the same person that has something bad to say about everyone’s post, not to mention any names. Thank you everyone for the help on replacing my gaffs. I do hope that my posts are helpful to someone.

i have been in this biz since the late 70s i have never seen a price change like the change that is taking place now in the cable splicing industry. i started as a grunt on a line crew worked aerial const for the next 10 years. thats when the money was not great in line const. back then the money was in splicing and activation.the has been real good for a long time now, i have sat down and put a pencil to some things and i came up with the same thing over and over, with the way the new forced down our throats compisite pricing takes over in the splicing industry the money is in line const. we just signed a deal on a 300 mile raise and run we will make 150% more per mile to build it than to splice it go figure! so it looks like our spilicing trucks are going to get a retro to line const.i have told our guys to get that have no line exp they may not like the work but the rewards will be great when they ride thru that last time and and all the cable is up and lashed all straight and pretty!! its been a while but i know i am going to enjoy the ride cause this one here is a cable dawg thru and thru!!

SL4m, have you ever considered going in-house. I'd bet you'd fit in perfectly. You have an opinion on everything. You think you have an answer for everything, except your answer isn't for the question asked. You bitch, grip, and complain just like an MSO employee without a solution to the actual problem. They need an MDU coordinator in Dayton. If your one of them guys that know nothing about cable except the one in particular facet that you’re attempting to do, my apologies for wasting your time with this led. Good Luck…

The power has been out up here for a couple days and haven't been able to get in here but now that I am,, #1 yes Terry 78 poles, the guys name is Dave, Bob Miguire cut his hand open removing some boot and Dave jumped in and did Bob's locations as well as his own, 78 was the final count,and hey, a jokes a joke, do you really think I give a shit about your opinion? get a f@#ckin grip, last time I checked I was in America,land of the free, freedom of speech, I did my time in the service and would gladly particapate in the elimination of any man or country that tried to take these rights away from this country,and be it a joke on this sight or a speech on a street corner, it is our right to do so with out being pulled down some alley and being executed and I have the upmost respect for my wife, in fact she told me a come back joke, (plug your ears Terry), "What does a woman do with her ass hole when she's making love?,,,,,leaves him at home!" oh my god, I'm in trouble now! Hey Doug. Yes, I do have the same number. I'll e-mail you my home #, but my cell is336-###-####. I just got in from the golf course. Talk about serene! Beautiful course and even through the chill of the morning, the conditions were great. Even picked up 5 skins from my partners. I am taking Kathy out today, since Wednesday's Valentine's Day and my cable gypsy ass is going to be in Virginia, so call on the cell.
