I need some help. I am an Aussie who is moving to the US (legally) in a couple of months time.
I am a qualified electrical linesman with mapping, make ready, oh & ug construction and supervisory experience in the CATV industry.
I need to know about using my qualifications in the US, ie: is there a test I have to go through? are my quals legal in each state?
Does anyone know if there are any links out there to help me research this?
Also what are the requiremnets if i was to "sub-contract" to someone?
Any info will be grately appreciated.

For once I don't even no wear to start.Let me tell you,last night,something happened to me that will change my life forever.To all of those who know me,for a good part of my life I have been one of the meanest,people any of us has ever known,I seen the time when I have dared to cuss God openly to his face,putting him down,in the last 8 mts. WHITFIELD, I agree with most of what you have to say. I have also disagreed with you in the past. However, I don't know if your posts are alcohol induced depressionism or pure logic. I think; as I say, I think you need some help. You seriously need a vacation. If you have a vision, you must share that vision and then inspire your diciples to follow.
I see a lot of pent up rage, you may be a "mushroom cloud laying motherfucker" but please utilize that energy to produce a productive enviroment. In essence you can either force a man to eat a shit sanwich or you can have him buying it from you because you made it sound irresistable. Catch you on the flip flop...Flin
