Whitfield, Personally i love your commentary. You make a helluva lot of sense. There's nothing wrong with trying to come up with a better way or think new idea's. every invention, everything started with an idea. People discussing alternatives, idea's going back and forth. Maybe this person who seems to enjoy name calling suffers from small penis envy and the only way he can feel "big" is to put other people down. Maybe he wants to meet behind the big tree after recess and fight.maybe this splicer should realize Cable dawgs need to stick together. its the only way we are all going to survive and hopefully prosper in this business.

Finally,has anyone else had trouble getting on
here today?How does a man write an article,
about his life.How can he reach people,how does he make them see
through his eyes.Well let me start by apolog-
ising.Last night we were cooking out with
friends,I had already had too much to drink,
you know how it is when you can enjoy some
time off at the home 20.Anyway,I read what
John wrote, and hell flew in me.I've got good
control of my temper,but when anyone is
drinking ,control, sometimes just goes right
out the window.John what have I done to make
you so mad with me?What ever it is I apologise.
John I know it was you.Ben from Protel called
me this morning and let me know it was not
them,and that Protel did not appreciate me
implicating them,he told me you resined your
position with them in Tuscon.Apon that news,
I apologised,and I also think they they are one
of the top co's to work for.You do your work
properly and you get paid.They paid me every
dime they owed me .John have you forgotton
how I kept Paul Beck from kicking you ass,
or Larry from intimidating you.

assholes everbody has one,I don't mind deleting
your file,it was a short one any way,guess it
is because your young,I was building systems,
before you were born.Sounds like you think

Let me now tell all about the man, that wants
unity, among cable dogs,me! I was born in 1957.
I am a leo,I'm 6'3" tall, a solid 240lbs,
I have brown hair and blue eyes.I enjoy many
water sports,I hunt,fish,basketball,baseball,
all kinds of sports,my most favotate
Jumping 10ft seas offshore,in a cigarett boat,
Now let me tell you thats intense.The main
purpose or drive I have in life are my wife
and chrildren,they grow up so fast.Their ages
are 16,12,8,and 2,boy,boy,girl,boy.Their names
are Logan,Morgan,Mary Cameron and Tanner.Now
you know my family.What Qualifys me to be the
captin,well lets see,I graduated High School,
(BIG DEAL) I turned down a three year full
paid scholarship in electronics when I was a
senior because I was supposed to have been one
of the owners at the boat place I had been
working,since I was 13.I left ther after I
gratuating school.I wanted in the corp.their
answer was I'm sorry its too late its closed.
After five years,(welcome to the real world).I
left NC,and moved to Ft.Lauderale Fla.worked
as a professional bouncer,bartender,ran an
escort service,collected money for bookies,
did alot of different things.Hell I can even
rember when I use to arm wrestle for money,I
even broke my roomates arm,in a match.ask Clark
to ask my brother,he was there.I then moved
back to NC and got into cable did that till 82,
off a year,ran two night clubs,and a motel,
that was the year I met my sweetie,we got
married in 83 and I went back into cable.Logan
my oldest son was concieved at the ASI office
in fairfax,Mike Brakefield let me pitch,a pup
tent, secured down by cinder blocks,we slept
on air mattresses.I wonder how many ASI people
rember that tent in the old installer room.That
tent is where we made Logan,he's Born and bred
Cable Dog.From there we moved back to Morehead.
I wen't to work as a service mgr.at one of the
big dry stacks.I then,bought out the largest at
time'fiberglass repair/fabrication centers
on the east coast,I was really kickin butt
there,and my sister commits scuicide over
a heart doctor.I lost it,My mother had three
of us kids in 27&1/2 months,needless to say
as brothers and sister.(enough) I went back
into cable and its what I've done every since.
IN my life I have done many things I will list
things in which I hold certificates and a
few of the trades I am good at.I am certified
in Johnson,Evinrude,Mercury,OMC stringer and
cobra drives,welding,auto mech,I paint cars,
boats,houses,you name it,I can do fiberglass
beginning to end,from your idea to the plug,
the mold ,to the finshed product.Iwas President
of T ball 4yrs,coached Basketball,baseball,as
well as serving on their boards,for 9yrs.Let
me tell you one of the most gratifying things
in life is to hae a child that you coached
come up to you when their in high school and
shake you hand and say,thanks coach,you gave
me heart,you taught me how to win and lose,to
mind my tongue to the umpire,so many things
thanks.You talk about something tat will make
your eyes water,thats what makes all those
years worth it.Now About personality,I am
Gruff but loving.I command resepct from
all who walk in my space.I am a Gladiator ,
a Shark,A Preator.I have very strong
convictions about life,In business I am
honest and hard working.I am no better
than the poorest man that works with me.
Notice I said with me,not for me.Thats
how I feel about it.Enough about ME,
lets talk about the industry.How many
of you cable dogs give a thought
toward the future.Look at satillites,
when its all said and done,well they aren't
hooked together with wire and cable.Where
does that leave us.IN two to three years
the major poriton of todays rebild/upgrade
will be done.Where does that leave the
little man,you could go in house for one of
moms,or may you'd get maintence and extenisions
for one of the bloodsuckers that live off of
your labor,so he can stay in business till the
next big boom,then he can get fatter,off a
bunch of peoples blood,and sweat.HELL!!! its
the American way.All I'm going to try to tell
anybody is don't put all your eggs in one
baskett.ONE last note to Shane,I have forgotton
more than you Know,Where the is alot of smoke
there is usually "A BIG ASS FIRE" People I'll
say it again we need to pull together,if you
control the labor,you control the price.I

Well when u drink and think and say shit you dont mean and regret it later you are putting the noose around your own neck. It's just a matter of time before u hang yourself.Especially when you bite the hands that feed you. How can you throw stones when I can say I have never seen any cable guys that live in a glass house. All I have ever seen on the wet cement is negative comments,but we atre supose 2 all work together. Iagree w/ shane(no offense)but the truth hurts!!!!If you cant take the heat get the fuck out the kitchen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would like to appologise for my spelling

was an asteroid.You might say that was billions
of years ago,what does that have to do with
now.Well how about Hurricanes,Tornadoes,Floods,
Earth Quakes,Volcanoes,Natural Diasters of all
kinds.We can't control Mother Nature.
The Asteroid,is the one that worries me the
most,were not prepared,a catorastrophy,of
that maginitude,"Could we Survive"? In this year
of 2001 there is great promise of the primary
focus being,the betterment and preseveration
of life.I ask you where is it.
Now that I have got your attention,Let me tell
you I can take you anywhere on this planet,
and bring you back with me.Into its darkest
and most dangerous spots.Fear not for I am
with you.How can I do these things? I will
not walk with my eyes shut,I am not blind,
I will not walk with my ears shut,I am not
deaf.I trust in all I know to keep us safe.
