Terry, check your local DOT office for the book and testing, check the phone book for training, a lot of these schools will work with you on payment and recognize alternative payments such as GI bill and disabililty.

Hey Clark, the handbook you seek is at the DMV/Highway Patrol station on RT.70 ,you know where its located,(Where you get your drivers license). As far as information,in the same building is The DMV and the Highway Patrol,If you go to the DMV,speak to Anthony Dennis he is the officer you need talk to. If you go to the Highway Patrol Speak to Alan Smith he is the head man there,I grew up with both of them,I'm sure they can assist you,IF you still have unanswered Questions,E-mail Kevin Bryan he was the CDL examiner for the DOT for eastern north carolina,he's my best friend,he is in Bosnia until March, his National Guard unit is the one that got called to active duty because they were top dogs.I'm sure he can answer any question you might have about CDL's,Schools or etc.I'm sure he would be glad to hear from anyone back home.If you can wait till March you can probably hire him to instruct your people ,that was also part of his job at the State. He holds every endorsment you can get on a CDL.His e-mail in Bosnia is IRISH ROVER 1953@email .com .Hope I have been able to help you Mr.Clark. See Ya "WHITFIELD"

Hey Doug, sorry it has taken so long to answer your question, about the fire alarm.I thought I knew pretty much the specks on power ,but the question you asked,I could not answer, and did not want to tell you wrong,I went this morning to our local electric coop.and spoke to the engineer in charge of having knowledge of this,he told me,that it would vary depending on the pole in which it was to be placed,he said, that the N.E.S.C.that has a general set of standers, being placed no closer to the neutral, than 40 inches, with primary power at the top ,but could change to a minium of 30 inches,if a secondary was over the neutral. He also said if it were on a secondary lift pole it could go as close as 12 inches,he also stated that if the pole had a transformer, that it had to be a minium of 40 inches from the bottom of the can,let me also add some scenarious that I ran into putting in power supplys, under a different coop. They would not allow the weather head to be any higher than 40 inches from the bottom of the drip loop on wires attached to a transformer,I learned that one the hard way ,when the inspector, came out they found my weather head to be in violation, they would not allow me to lower it by myself, their people had to come out and remove the top strap below the weather head,as I removed it from the meter base and shortened it,they also wonldn't allow me to put anything on a switch pole or a closer pole.In speaking with the engineer he told me that things can have a vairence from state to state, and town to town.I took from his advice that in this situation that you should contact the engineering dept.of the utility for which you are under, furthermore,in my opion, this should have been caught,by the person, doing the ride out to insure the was proper clearence, and that the line crew, was advised of what that clearence was,in your situation. I hope my answers have been of assistance to you. See Ya "WHITFIELD"

Thank you, I've been riding this plant out and I'm looking at plant design (power) that veries from block to block, what I thought was fire turned out to be tri-plex at 4", then I ran into fire and it goes from 60 to 8, no one has been able to give me anything in writing concerning specs, I always thought that any form of communication ( fire or RR) was 12, I'm working on a 20 mile ABS through 3 towns and there isn't any conformity what so ever, I'm going to take your advise and hit the engeering up per town or municpality, thank you GW, I'll get back with you on this.
