the one...what the fuck you gonna do with a bucket in rear easement? New-be's and wanna-be's, be aware of this fact-if you can't climb(or if you're too scared to climb), get the fuck out of the business. A man that can't or won't climb ain't worth a shit to those hiring. Looks like this new 'breed' of hands are sissies.)

most all greenes use ladders these days, and noone has the balls to requir that they do.they just want the work done. buckets and ladders are ok but if you cant do it all your not a linedog or cabldog or whatever you like to call it.

Dawg or no, if you want to make the most money for the time you spend working, you will have to learn to climb. Otherwise you will wear thin on people because you can't do part of your job. If you intend to get paid like the rest of the group, you can't dump on them. I learned to climb freehand, and had to relearn when I took an inhouse job, because they required you to pass the three point method. The worst part was unlearning the old way. All the "greens" took to it right away. All the salty dawgs stumbled and fumbled, but still made it through. I only speak for me, but no matter what, I thank God for the ability to put out a good life for a couple of kids, my wife and me. I hate to think of where I'd be if not for this thing we do. I've been in it long enough, not to worry about the bullshitters, because they come and go like a revolving door, sooner or later. And once in a while, I talk about some of the people who taught me things along the way. Even if it was how definitely NOT to do things. Thats what I always try to remember, the precedence you set may be your undoing or your ticket. Let the ones who won't do right sink, and do what you can for those who are willing. I've said it here before. Here's to everyone who feels about it the way I do. I'm just one man, who couldn't have made it here without the others. I can't wait for tomorrow, now I'm in the mood to rock and roll.

Dumb question about easement- I generally hook all taps, balancing, end of lines, etc.. Actives I cut off a ladder because of the input loop. Any tricks I don't know about?

Short of flying, thats probably the safest mode for that operation. Or wait until no one is home and drive the bucket into the back yard! :-)
