Greetings rfdoc, if someone is using the term T-Channel, or T-Channels it is usually in reference to the channnels at the bottom of the frequency allocation. Frequencies below fifty MHz. Sub Band, the channels are T-7 through T-13, I think. Return frequencies usually, in broadband. I hope this gets you closer to your destination. Tim

OK, I have a few for ya,,,
What is wide band?
The spectrum of light between 390 and 780 nanometers is called?
What is a Mid-split system and what is it commonly used for?
What is the standard for video modulation?
What is a Bel?
SNR?
Does insertion loss increase or decrease when the temp rises?
What is a Buffer tube?
What is the speed of light in miles?
What is the seperation between your Picture carrier and your Color sub-carrier in MHz?
When were the first cable systems built?
What is the measurement between a dB and a Bel?
What happens when when a fiber bend radius decreases to the point that light rays with in the core escapes, what is this called?

Have fun with this:
match the cigarette to the slogan, since cigarette advertising was banned on t.v. years ago, the correct answers to these may make you feel old.
1. "I'd rather fight than switch"
2. "Taste me, taste me"
3. "I'd walk a mile for a "_________"
4. "__________" tastes good like a cigarette should
5. "Just a silly millimeter longer
Bonus question
Why did Lucky Strike change from using green coloring in their logo to red?
Ever since they took out one of my lungs, I've cut my smoking in half!

Ok Wide Band (or broad band)is a wide band of different frequences, visible light, Mid Split System seperates spectrum between the low band and High band channels, dedicating 5-108 MHz to up-stream application, these are used in I-net application, a Bel is a scale for expressing the ratio of 2 powers, it is a awkwardly large unit hence "Decibel" ( 10-1 ratio) there for a dB is 1 10th of a Bell,Insertion lose increases as the temp rises, A buffer tube is an element used to protect an optic fiber wave guide from pysical damage the speed of light is 186,280 MPS or 299,793,000 meters although most round it off at 3 mil, the seperation between your picture carrier and your color sub carrier is 3.58 MHz, The first CATV systems were built in 1948, and bending a fiber too tightly will cause a higher insertion lose, it will show as an event on a OTDR and can be a bitch to locate, and it is called a macro-bend.
