Hey, Doug. Things going great on this end. Trying to get closer to home though. Sounds like you are picking up just as it's about to get colder than a brass monkey's ass on dry ice up there! Weather has been excellent here. 60's, clear, blue skies, leaves trying to start turning colors... etc. Best time of year to work outdoors. My wife picked up an American flag that goes over the antenna, and as I sit here, I caught a glimpse of it flying in the breeze with the skies Carolina blue and the sun rising, and I can't help think of all the victims of the recent disaster that will never be able to enjoy such a scenery again and their families that are unable to due to the heavy sorrow on their hearts, and it sure makes me glad that I am here for another day and am blessed as I am. It really is great to live in the good ol USA. Tell Teri I said hey. Later, bro. Oh, and to D. Belushe's posting asking what "GO95" means... It is California'a General Order 95 that governs the rules and regulations of pole line constuction. It is a real bitch if your used to doing contruction outside Cali. Only place I had to hang guard arms over CATV plant. Also only place where you may have to place up to a 1/2" strand for down guy purposes.

Good morning all,its nice to read your slanderous comments "STANDING SMALL" if you really knew me,you would know your degradive comments about me are hollow.I only enjoy getting your goat, shortie. You must be a woman trapped in a boys body.I'm man enough to print my name here and not hide behind a screen name. Its time for this country to get back to normal. You can be serious but I going to start telling jokes on here again, and I hope everybody else does.Standing small you sure seem to know a list of things that have been said to downgrade me in the past, maybe your the fruit.I don't worry what a fruit writes about me on here.As far as I know there is only one co. that won't hire me back .Its Protel, and who wants to work for a co.that can't.Yes they have managed to blow smoke up somes asses, but how many years will it take the mother co's to realize their a joke. When you finish a project how in the "Hell do they put up with nearly a year of clean up!!Furthermore ,When Mastec got kicked out of Harrisburg Pa. they send in Protel who is a Mastec owned co.The trucks roll in with a Mastec name it is removed and replaced with a Protel sign.I will see if I can get the answer to this question for everyone by calling the corporate office of the mother co.and speaking to the president to see if he is aware of this.I have burnt very few bridges in my 22 years in this business ,but when I do I make sure it will never be rebuilt!!Look forward to some more TUSCON stories Protel!!And to you standing small get a life.I hope everybody has a great day and if your working make Big$$$$$44 See Ya

Whats going on with the cable business? Is it any less professional than say the power company, or bell? Well, the job I am on, the supervisor is bringing in all these people who look like leftover holloween rejects, not to mention that very few of them have over one year expirence at cable tv upgrade. Now I have got nothing against young people in the business but, what ever happened to having to pay your dues. These guys are given the best nodes, over the old dawgs with 10 years plus.I hate to think it, And hate to say it worse, but I beleive there must be some payola under the table going on. I have never payed any body shit under the table, because I never had too, It use to be you were rewarded with good work for not having outages and for good looking work, these days it seems to be, who ever gets the supervisor the best dope, or buys the most beer..I am proud of my profession and hate to see it being torn down. I hope this is just an isolated incendent and not becoming the new way, Does this happen on your job? Thanks for any responce...

Joe I've seen that on projects but it usually comes back to bite the super in the ass because in time you lose the good men to this favoritism, and left only with the shit heads,,, the project falls apart and the super ends up back in a truck or down the road to screw up another project under another out fit, word is there are a couple projects going that way up in Maine right now, I avoid them like the plague, sit back, watch them fall a part and then move in and take over, I know where your coming from, it's a bitch to be in the middle of it, I usually don't hang around long, I have a tendency of speaking out which makes the move for me.

Ok I see that none of you responded to the posting by Walk out Crew, so I will. What the fuck are you on you retard? Innocent people died for no reason at all. You think God wanted that? You think if we just leave it alone that God will fix all of this? Let me ask you something Walk out Crew, what do you think would eventually happen to the USA if just put they're fate in God's hands and did nothing about it? What do you think would've happened in the forties had we put our faith in God not done anything and not retaliated in WW-2? You'd have a fucken rising sun or a SS flag in your yard instead the Grand Old Flag. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with believing in God and asking him for help and hoping that he will answer in some sort of way. But if we just sit back and hope that God will fix all of this your sadly mistaken, and the next time you trade in your car you might be going from a chevy or ford to a camel. My belief is God does everything for a reason. I think that if God didn't want us to go to war that none of this would've happened. And believe it or not Good will come out of this. Hopefully the end of terrorism and a real eyeopener to the rest of the world that might have any Stupid and Evil thoughts about commiting something this Catastrophic to the US again. And you know what Walk Out, I hope every single evil, terroristic bastard in the desert dies a painful and slow death.

Sounds like a bad situation with that supervisor,if you try to go around him it could cost you your job, because he's probably his bosses friend.Reminds me of when I went to Sebring Fla.a couple of years ago. When I spoke to the PM he said it was 85/15 streetside/easment,what he didn't say was I would be getting the 15.Last year in Tuscon I tried to go around a supervisor, his wife had left him and one of his friends from back home had started keeping him up all night, anyway he starts giving this Sub all the killer work,I ask the supervisor for a sit down meeting. In this meeting I bring the project admin.,I accuse the supervisor of giving this sub all the killer work,he is at a loss for words,as the meeting takes place in the print wall room, and its there in black and white in front of you.The super tries a song and dance bs.I walk out.Two days later we are in the field waiting on a bridger amp to be cut in as the supervisor failed to calculate trunk footages when he Knew that the new design was incorrect.Anyway here we are, sitting on the side of the road, waiting for the crew that had that block to cut the amp so we could all balance,I had two mexican workers with me,a mexican drives by and my guy shakes a hammer at him ,because this guy owes him for the transmission in the truck he is driving and has refused to pay him.The guy in the truck locks um down in the middle of the road, jumps out grabs a mall,my guy runs at him with a five pound hammer, here they are swinging at each other, this door hanger guy who works for the mother co.drives by, wheels it around and pulls off the road.He calls Comcast's head guy.The next thing I know the PM shows up.The super tells him his version of what happened. The PM comes down to me and tells me I have to fire my guys.Until this point me and the PM were friends. At this point he takes the supervisors word over mine as he had known him for years. That decision is what started my not working for Protel anymore, buts thats a long story that takes place a few days later.I never lied to the PM in all that I told him, that day.I hope he realizes that now.It is a sad day as Joe stated earlier, when your supervisor is un fair in handing out the work, much less the fact of them being on drugs.I hope it all works out for you Jim. See Ya

Interesting that someone had the nerve to even mention God in this whole mess finally!
There is a "happy meadium" in all this!
But, everyone has their own opinion!
I for one turn to the scriptures. "Return evil for evil to no man"
Do I feel that the men that did this horrible this deserve to be judged and executed? YES!
Do I think we should go to war and have a lot of inocent people killed regardless of the country they live in? NO!
Do I love freedom! You betcha!
But, dropping bombs and attacking cities is NOT the answer!
Military strategic action is definately in order here! But, as far as KILL EM ALL, Bomb em ALL..etc. Not the answer!
I know many of you are not religious! Or even believe in God!
But, believe this! Jehovah God's Soverenty WILL be vindicated!
And do I think God wanted this situation to happen? Well......It was prophisied in Revelations!
No, I'm not saying he wanted inoccent people to die!
All, I'm saying is "SATAN" put this whole "EVIL system" into the tailspin it's in!
Okay, I'm done for now.....
