SORRY I MISSED ALL THE EXCITEMENT/CONFUSION THAT LED UP TO THE CLOSING THEN REOPENING OF THE WET CEMENT.HATS OFF TO THE WEBMASTER FOR THE OPENING PAGE,WELL DONE SIR.I REGRET TO SAY THAT THE LAST TIME I READ THE WET CEMENT WAS WHEN I THREW IN A JOKE SOMETIME BACK TO LIGHTEN UP WHAT SEEMED TO BE TO BE ALOT OF TRASH TALKING.[was that the longest sentence you ever saw or what,at least i get alot higher marks on from those that qc me than i did from my gramer teachers in school]give me a minute to let my fingers breath.............. Anyway as i was saying I only found out about it this time because i was checking the bar to find my next job,which I did,so its time for me to pack up and hit the road again.Hope yall are here when I set up my next gypsy [?] motel command center. This is my 75 cents worth,because 2 cents doesnt get you much anymore. 1st. To the WEBMASTER,You have done a very good job with this site,in this dawgs opinion. You do what you have to,to keep it fair for all.Keepup the good work. 2nd. I have been in this cable buisness for 18 years,so I do consider myself one of the old dawgs.Been alot of places,seen alot of things,done alot of things.BUT I wouldn't change any of it.As the old dawgs know,if your in this buisness for this long,YOU GOTTA LUV IT.If you dont then your just stupid.[no offence to anyone,just my opinion].Now the time has come to get out.Momma didn'tt see much of me,for most of the time we been married.And I missed out on watching my kids growup.Well they are gone from home now,But I see them more now then I did then.So the time has come to atleast let het see the gray hairs come in.[leastways what hair is left]. 3rd. To the Puppys of the buisness.What I consider a puppy is anyone with less the 7 years in the buisness.Anytime you are around a true cabledawg,keep your mouth shut,only to open it ask them a question.Otherwise watch,learn and listen to what they say.They now the right way or thing to say or do.Because I can garentee you they been around the block more then once. 4th. This is to those young bucket babies.If you can climb,or only have to have a T40 to be able to work only streetside work.You will never become a true cabledawg,no matter how many years you are in this buisness. 5th. This is for those who think that I am just a fool with nothing better to do,and don,t know anything.Well I,m not.Like I said befor,I been around for awhile.Through the thick and the thin.I have cancer[which is remission now,THANK YOU LORD]When you can,t get up the backend of the truck to get in that bucket,or put those hooks on to climb that pole,it makes you wonder if you ever will,be able to do what you love everagin.Well I did make it back and still hit those poles just as good as the youngins coming into the buisness. Now it,s time to get out and finish growing old with momma. This is for the old dawgs that I started with so many years ago.You know who you are.The men of G&L cable.Fellas the southafrican is going south..lol.You can take the dawg out of cable.But you will NEVER take the cable out of the OLD DAWG. That is my 75 cents worth.
