Well, it would be my guess no one has read or even opened this book. But then what would I expect from most that visit this group.

Brett we have a lot on our plate but it's all coming slowly, you know how it is, your always waiting on something, be it pole apps, make ready, GOOD maps, materials and of course revised specs, have a lot of up-grade in the works, but what I really need right now is good hooks, we match any pay out there if not better plus we have good trucks to put them in (new)and the running, well it's just like anywhere else, you take the bad with the good, I will say one thing though, a lot of our work is out in the country, we don't have a lot of Boston shit, and we pay footage on everything including retro's, if you know any hooks have them give us a call, we don't break up our crews, you get on a truck, that's it, the only thing that gets you off a crew is the crew, most problems are taken care of the old way, behind the barn, it's one of the things that I enjoy about this outfit, you have old school teaching the new kids old school, and we put out a nice product, come on up and take a look some time, we have some shitty plant we are still cleaning up but we got rid of White Mountain faction a while back and things have been looking up ever since.

I've never had the pleasure of catching someone stealing my tools, but I keep an old pair of bannana cutters in my truck for such an event, and he would suffer the full brunt of the thousands in tools I've had to replace,,,,

Good morning all,Doug speaking of bananna cutters you reminded me of the first snake I caught in Tuscon. It was a gopher, about seven foot long,Sevrin and Myself were in the motel parking lot after work shooting the bull, when I spotted this big snake in the desert next to the motel.Sev.was scared of it,I got to admit it made my heart thump also, anyway I caught it,but didn't have any place to put it,so I decided to make it into a hat band.So I get out the bananna cutters, and slip my fingers back a hare frome its head and get the cutters in position, snip, off goes the head, this snakes coils up from my hand to my shoulder like a cork screw, with a death grip,I nearly needed to clean my drawers,I had to take my free hand and unwind it, then I dropped it on the ground, it reminded me of a chicken with its head cut off,You know how it is if he isn't in a tow bag he'll flop and get up and run around the yard. Some might say"WHAT DOES ALL THAT HAVE TO DO WITH CABLE?" I hate a thief and I feel like if I caught him stealing,I hope for his sake the law is present at the moment I catch him ,he would need their protection. My friends outside Wilmington N.C. Lost 2 6 wheelers one of which was a 6x6,and trailers, two lashers,3 28ft ladders, and this is just a partial list, but I will get a complete one,I have had many things stolen over the years also,I feel like this,to be a thief, you must be on CRACK or something to be that much of a low life to steal from a working man that has put fourth sweat and hard work to buy these tools. I "HATE" a theif. Thus the bounty of a thousand dollars.I "PROMISE" if you call me no law will be involved. These men just want their stuff back.If anybody has any information call me I will also pay a finders fee.The Police might tell my friends we can't find the stuff, let me tell them, ask any one of my children about the word "can't" I don't believe in it,the term they would use should be "won't",because there is no such thing as can't.Where their is a will there is a way!! I hope every one has a great day and makes Big $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$44 See Ya

Harpoon, to a certain point I will agree to your idea on the Blackball list. The problem with it is as you well know in this industry we are all just human. Human tend to allow they're judgement on others to be tainted by "Rumor, Money and the fear of the MSO higher ups"!!!! I have seen it many a time in the 25 years of service in this industry! Now, after 25 years in this field some MSO suit or Prime Contractor owner is going to taint my reputation due to "Rumors" or "The love of Money"??? Not if I can help it! And it may very well be that I will be flatten like a pancake on this cruisade! I am even beginning to feel that my career in this industry is over! But, I will make a "serious example" of this situation and hopefully the next "innocent victom" will not have his/her career ruinned! I have many talents so I will go on in life! But, there are many out there that maybe would not have a choice, I speak for them! Besides, those of you MSO suits or Prime Contractors that feel your above the law or are like a god? Your wrong! It all comes out in the end! Keep an eye on the C.E.D. magazine issues, MultiChannel News issues and the local news in the Little Rock, AR. area for the next few months......Maybe even CNN!!!!!! I may have lost the first battle BUT, I'm a "LONG" ways from losing this WAR!

Mark, I agree that rumors can ruin a career, and have had one or two started about me, but my point was that there is no way to regulate which ones are true or false. It's all one man's word against another. Thanks for the response.

Boy, I have'nt been called a punk for about 16 years or so. As for hiding, I don't have to hide. My screen name draws alot more attention then my real name, click on that and you'll have my e-mail address. I just tell it like it is. Splice good without gigs with work that looks good and you'll get payed. Don't have any outages and have the system up when it's suppose to be and you'll get payed. Simple, is'nt it? As for blowing better than I splice, that sounds like something your hubby and bros get into. When I splice I don't have to go back to that location ever (unless they re-design, which in that case you get paid again). You must know alot of blowjob splicers, they should keep that kind of stuff off the work site, since it tends to make the work look "UGLY" As for the bastards that stole the tools, I think they need to be lashed up on some strand when caught, I hope you guys find out who did it and get all your equipment back, Good luck!

East coast, west coast, worked them both, I've met some good and bad, I take my hat off to everyone out there that gets up every Sunday and heads it down the road in search of a better life for him/her and their family, this isn't the easyest thing I've ever done but by god it has been the most rewarding, I look at some of the people I grew up with and the paths they took in life and feel blessed not to be stuck in some paper mill #2648, working a swing shift for the last 21 years, consider your selves lucky gentlemen, we are truely the last of the cow boys.
