I dont thhink all the rebuilds will ever be 'done'the technoligy is changing faster than systems can rebuild.A few years ago 750mghz was the big thing, who could want more? Now they're building 860,last year at an SA trainging course the instructor commented SA was in the development phase of 1gig gear maybe they already have it I wouldnt know bein stuck in the outback.There is still many,many small systems operating at 330 or 450 that will need upgraded soon I work for 5 such small systems,one of which beleive it or not we recently purchased and retro'd to 450!I think there will always be a place for good cablepersons, hacks may not survive if but for only extensions Atlanta hasent stopped constuction for several years and probably never will. Just my .02.....

Good morning all,Swamp sorry to here what happened to you in Austin,a gentleman called me yesterday to tell me of what was going on out there.To Mr.Jeff Humphreys,don't know what was going on in your mind,as I don't know you,but if what I was told correctly,we won't be seeing you for quite a while.From what I was told these would be some of the charges that will mount aginst you,embezzlement,Conspiracy,interstate transportation of stolen property,Grand theft,God only knows how many more.I can say this I'm glad I'm not in your shoes.Swamp of all the names that responded to your plite,Tim Endleman of CCI is one you can believe 100% of everything he says.You can take that one to the bank.

Gentleman move over make room.I will change this industry,I want everyone to be contractors.This is how it would work,you will have to pass rigerous hands on in the field test,You make the grade,the co. puts you in a truck,that will become yours,every payment,deducted as agreed from your check.People take better care of what will become theirs.People take more pride in their work when they know they are being paid fairly for what they do.How will I get the work? All it takes is one project,when that first one is landed ,It begins,when you have the best people banneded together,with a common goal,the results would be incredable.The difference in its founder and the rest,I not going into this to become rich,I could care less,its for the betterment of everone's life.I won't be a dicktator(LOL)I'll just be the chairman of a Co. that is by the people and for the people.A Co. managed by a team of old dogs that know what it takes,to make cable happen A to Z. Whitfield, The fish weren't hitting to good yesterday, so we started to scollop instead, we ended up filling up a whole cooler with them. Well, I delivered my trucks to the warehouse last week and start on the new project tomorrow- feels good to be back in the saddle again. I have been waiting for a long time on this one, but the prints look like it was all worth wild. I would like to thank everyone on this site for all the entertainment you have provided me during the coarse of my down time, It is nice to have an outlet like this to be able to converse with people of the same occupational background. I feel like I have gotten to know alot of you, even if I don't know what you look like. Thanks again, and don't let anybody change the WET CEMENT... See ya on the weekends... your friend- Joe Blow

So Comcast is gonna buy out AT&T, huh? At least they know what cable TV is about. What will suck for us is like with
all the big ones, the first thing they will do is force the contract prices down. At least Comcast is smarter than Charter.
