I've recently been terminated from my job as a service technician/dispatcher of almost 7 years. I feel I was let go because I voiced my concerns about safety and legal compliance over the last 5 years. An anonymous complaint(not me) to OSHA regarding our building having no water set the wheels in motion for my suspension and termination. I was terminated the same day as the an OSHA inspection to insure that I did not talk to the inspectors. I tape recorded my termination meeting. The lack of a reasonable explanation for my termination in conjuction with refusal for me to have copies of policies that I allegedly signed. The specifics are detailed and lengthy. I will try to post much of the information on my own website. www.EDDYROLON.com in the near future. I'm currently following through with charges and inqueries I've filed with the NLRB, BPU, OSHA, Wage and Hour and a few other related agencies and parties. I did not do this out of spite. I only tried to make my job as safe and honorable as I could. After years of being lied to, dismissed, threatened, punished and finally fired. I will not go away quietly. I didn't plan on losing my income and making my family suffer over my refusal to "keep my head down and my mouth closed" . I'm looking for as many cable technician resources on the Internet( sites, forums, chat rooms or whatever) as I can find. I'll post more specifics on this board if requested. So you do remember him, I know where your coming from Brett, some people may not like what I have to say, but more often then not, it's the truth, I call it what it is, and will go out there in the field and prove it, fact is fact, you'll show your ass in a hurry in this business if all you have to rely on is friends and bull-shit,,,

I'm sorry for the double post and the lack of spell check. Wrote that quickly and still feeling a little passionate. I should explain also that currently my website is all about my other vocation in life, Mixed Martial Arts ( aka No Holds Barred ). Pictures of me competing as well as pix of my wife, daughter, friends and opponents are on there. The biography section tells a little bit more about me but nothing about this situaton below ..yet. nhbnj, When you work for someone, you are expected to be loyal to them and inhance their business, in return, you gain their respect and trust,and climb the internal latter of suscess. I dont think that I know you, but from what I got out of reading your story, it sounds like after seven years of working with these people on a daily basis, they did not trust you, did they catch you trying to throw them under the bus? The mear mention of OSHA is a serious thret to most people who work in CATV. It sounds like they didn't like you, and you didn't like them, so maybe everything will work out for the best for all involved. I have found that CATV is a small world, and you can't survive in it burning bridges. This is just my opinion, so you can take it for what its worth.

Joe Blow - For five out of seven years I've been trying to work with and within the company to correct serious legal and safety issues. Before that I did what I was told because I didn't know any better. I don't planning on returning to my job or the cable industry until it is made safe and honorable. I have other opportunities that I can pursue. However I refuse to allow myself to have been fired for trying to do what is right because it was easier than doing the right and legal things. My loyalty is to my family and myself before any company. I hope everyone feels the same. Eddy
