First week in August Gary, I never miss it, I used to fly up no matter where I was working, we'll do both, get fat on lobster and fish, yea we have pike up here, the small ones they call pickeral and the big ones are pike, I call them fresh water baracuda, good fighting fish, we are closing on this place so funds have been a little tight but I should have a boat by then I have some nice lakes we can fish, Browns, lakes, salmon, bass, they don't have the large big mouths up here but these little bastards fight like hell, went out yesterday and did a little catch and release, got me a wood chuck on the way out also, I've got permission to hunt most of the fields around here, farmers hate the fu*kin things, they dig their burrows in then the cows step in the holes and break their legs, we'll slay a few of those too, me and a friend of mine were out checking fields a couple weeks ago, he took aim on this fox at about 180 yrds, took the shot and when we got up to it the bullet had picked the fox up and blew it about 18 feet and completely gutted it, 52 grn HPBT 22-250 carrys a hell of a wallup, the fox took off on pure adrenilin, and I finished him with a 3 and a half inch #4 turkey load, tough bastards, Yea Gary, we'll get togeather this summer,

Oh and HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all the mothers that put up with us, I couldn't agree more, it takes a special kind of woman, took me 4 trys to find the right one, Teri listens to me whine about the jobs, heals me when I'm wounded, and don't take no shit, I love her with all my heart and today is her day so I've got to go.

Hey Terry, give me a call, or I'll TRY to get ahold of you, though you are a hard man to get a hold of. I need some info. from you. Doug, that will work out great. Let's etch it in stone then. We will head out July 28th and leave the following Saturday. Approximately how many hours does it take to drive it? We'll probably just fly, but it would make a nice road trip. Plenty to see between NC and Maine. Jay, let's say around 6:00ish. I'll call you on your cell if my timing is off. I know exactly where that Texaco is. Pit stopped there a couple of times. Darryl Causby, if you run across this today, how about meeting us there, as well, and I'll bring your Stealth Reverse to you. I left you a voice message, and will try to call later today. Too early to call you now, in fact, what the fuck am I doing up?! I'm going back to bed!

P.S., Doug.... Let's make it a point to go after the Salmon! I thought they were just a west coast thing. Maine definitely has the correct water temperature for them. I can't wait! Get the best of both worlds... Lobster from the sea and salmon from the rivers. Oh yeah!

Cool, Doug. We just got back in from the lake. Man, I tell ya, of all the places I've lived, NC is the greatest. The lake was nice and flat, skies NC blue at their best, and the temperature in the upper 70's. Everything is all green and the trees are full again. We hit one stripped bass, trolling, and Kathy hit a big crappie, drifting, then of course the bluegill that the grandson mainly fed, but managed to land a few. It was a great mother's day! What was really cool was I had offered Kathy to go to see, "The Mummy Returns" and out to dinner at her choice of restaurant, and she asked if we could go get some chicken and hit the lake so we could troll and do some sun bathing. Pretty cool deal, huh? Didn't have to ask me twice! Everyone have a great week and I'll call you soon, Doug, to get some concrete plans together. Later all.
