well zorro its amazing that that came to your mind most would have thought of a payoff but then again maybe the stories of the gay blade are true.it is actually strainge that there is no one that you get along with on this or are you just some small person that cant receive any respect in person so you try to lash out here?

Milton. im sorry,you may be the best? but i would like to see if you could do that on some of the jobs i have been on. KINGSPORT Tnn. for one. every one i know that has ever worked for this system has said it was a hard system.I belive it I worked it for a year myself. then you have that are hired off the street and know nothing about cable and gig you for not splicing a term. tap on feeder wheen there is no feeder, like in milwalkie wis. SOOOOOO! my hats of to you. and any one whom is realy gig free. im HONEST AND SAD TO SAY I MAY NOT BE? GOOD LUCK AND BE SAFE DAWGS!

To the best of my knowledge, I was the least gigged retro-splicer for Jones
in KC MO for a year & 1/2. Still no plans to erect a monument in my honor
there as far as I know.Others walked away with more $$ for less craftmanship
and more gravy sucking. Grocery stores don't accept atta-boys.A hack with a pocket full of
cash gets more respect than a proud man without the rent.SBT.

A-MEN, turner. you sound a lot like me. I dislike the sucks and the like. All I ask for is fair treatment fair wages.In Dougles Ga. with a fair parts builder I spliced 36 locations, trunk&feeder GIG free. the next day i missed a bond. ooops. only had 17 locations that day. but a GIG is a GIG.

we started at7:00am and turned eols at 4:50pm. Ronnie Rivers was proj. mang. for Crown fiber on that proj.

Why is it some of these companies that need to have all this work done and need all these people to come in and do work,only want to pay pennies to have it done.These "Big Wigs" wouldn't go spend a $100 tv for their fiber cable syst. that was just put in,Hell no.They'll go spend a couple $1000 for HD/surroundsound and what ever else you can put in a tv.They'll spend alot of money for good equipment, but they won't spend good money labor, why is that? It seems to me know-one has emphasized to these that the cost of living and the cost of quality has gone up. I was lucky enough to talk to someone as such. They offered 7-8$'s a tap, $25 le,$55 amp, $100 node,3/4 cent ftg on rural.(hahahahahahahahahahahaha) I'm gonna furnish my own gas,truck, tools,insurance and expences to be there.(I thimk not) How can these people offer prices like that or 20-25 cents ft and expect to get good quality work? I've been in cable 11yrs now,seen some crazy things, as you all have I'm sure,but it seems to me as much as the telecommunication is exploding and much money is being spent out there they should also spend it on good quality contractors.You only get what you pay for! Maybe I'm wrong and correct me if I am,but it seems to me someone needs to bring to general attention that this is 2001 not 1981.

O.K. guys heres my opinion on this situation some fact though!! O.K. some mother comp's are already sending there inhouse asskissing,underneath the desk dick suking,kneepad wearing assholes to school while paying them HOURLY pay.O.K. would you not rather pay a monkey 8drs@hr than pay some guy 25 to 30+ cents a ft. Why do that when you can send some monkey to school and pay him hourly and send your ass down the road cause the mother company will make a whole lot more money that away. Whitfield your idea of school is a great one(about the ONLY good thing thats come out of your mouth)but, there are alrady in progress not in a big college but inhouse.Ma bell,att,timewhiner,cox-suckers, they are all ready doing this as we speak. For all of us guys who started out as a grnd hnd,thenlineman,thenforeman,etc.all the time we put in will be shot to hell in a couple of yrs or so (hope not) but these comp's would rather pay some brownnossing asshole 8drs @hr than pay you footage when the mother comp can make so much more inhouse profit that way!!I hope it doesnt come to that but like i said it is all ready happening as we speak or read so we need to tighten up every chance we get!!you'll be cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Hey Cblthpr being a fellow sub I feel your pain, however bottom line labor is a commodity, just like fittings or fiber. The suits want the job priced as low as possible while getting the job done. Nothing else matters. Its not just CATV, but every business.
