American SpliceCo was out of Morehead City,NC. Mike Brakefield was the president.last I heard,Mike was in Md., and yes there are a few old SpliceCo people around Jimmy Fling,Billy Butler,Gerald Whitfield and a couple more old Dogs. as for the local digs, I can just say thank God for Wesley's Bail & Bait shop.(across the street}. -TC.

Just writing to see if anyone knows of a VictorMcNabb out of the Greater Chicagoland or Rockford area. My boyfriend did over $2500 worth of footage for this man (who allegedly owns a company called American Cable).....however, when it was time to get paid, Victor conveniently disappeared! If anyone knows Victor's whereabouts, please email me ASAP - or call610-###-#### and ask for Salvador. Also, please spread the word to all splicers and cable contractors that Victor cannot be relied upon to pay in a timely manner! It's been almost six months now and we still have not been paid for a job that was completed thoroughly!!

Hey Whitfield - Sounds pretty damn good. Really interested in seeing how it turns out. God knows the industry needs it. Hard to find good honest primes these days. Keep me in mind when this kicks off. Been up in Manchester, Kentucky splicing mountain running. God, I hate being on the road! Can never get used to being away from home. I had forgotten what it is like. How are things in VB? Still looking forward to that fishing trip when it warms up. Take it easy and good luck with your endeavor.

Terry - How long does it take to get to Morehead from Clemmons, NC.? Clemmons is on the west side of Winston Salem. Also, what all is going on in NC splicing wise? I would take you up on the maintenance splicing gig, but I am currently hooked up with Todd Cody splicing in Kentucky. He has been pretty decent to me and I never leave anybody hanging. Can't burn bridges in this business. Anyway, there are 4 of us cutting and we sure would like to get closer to home. We are going to help out a guy in Henderson, Kentucky, and that should take about 4 weeks. Three of us are out of the Ashville area and like I said, I am in Clemmons now, so if you know of anything within a 200 mile radius of those areas, let me know. Would greatly appreciate it. Have you heard from Paige or Billy lately? I have tried to contact her and can't catch them home. Take it easy and I sure would appreciate any info you have.

Hey Doug - All that talk of power clearances and guard arms brought on flashbacks of having to tote double arms with all the trimmings (braces, pole gains, lags, etc...) into easements and framing with my piece of shit brace and bit. Boy do I miss southern Calif.! NOT!!!
