Ken, try taking the lid off the amps and checking the frequency on the AGCs. We had about 900 amps with the wrong AGC freq. If it came with the AGCs in place check the nomenclature on the side and compare it to the book to see exactly what you have.

Oh, I remember all to well, Buddy! I can recall begging ya for a few of those splices my damn self. Part of that was the so called "foremen" that Robbie Salyer sent me, that turned out not even being class "b" linemen! You can't treat QR like foam. Two totally different animals. When did they start the use of exclusive mechanical benders there? Super loopers, or standard? Lemco, or Jackson, or does it matter? You any closer to having any splicing ready? How about the new head-end? Did it ever get delivered and set up? Yes, as a matter of fact, I am writing a book, and no I will not leave this chapter out! Hey, is Jr. still in charge of Martinsville? I just passed his numbers on to a drop contractor today. Did you know Jimmy over in Marion? He is real interested in Martinsville. Uh oh, the wife is hollerin about me being on here again! Later!

Because they claim system requested me off the project, being they heard I was looking into other possibilities. Fealt I wouldn't have their best interest at heart! Especially after I had a sub cut out some trunk that fed into another node, where none other than an AT&T general manager resided, and somehow figured that was my fault. Funny thing about it was I told two different field sups to check the first amp out of the node boundry, to make damn sure that didn't happen, and they brain farted and did not do it. The situation was caught and rectified by 5:15p.m., but that was the perfect ingredient for a sacrificial supper, me being the main course! I discussed this with the PM at Time Warner, who understood the situation, but that was after it was too late, and I damn sure wasn't going to the trouble of trying to untangle a web like that with Protel. Why would I when I had already been entertaining other propositions and was thouroughly disgusted by that point. Hell, I can see Time Warner feeling the way they did, but at the same time Protel swallowed that bait like a one eyed trouser trout! Like I said, LIVE AND LEARN.

Gary Vest, it sounds like sour grapes to me, you don't deny using drugs on the job, the only thing you're bitching about is the way you were tested for drugs and that you got caught in the first place. Posting this BS on-line is very bad, it makes you look bad if future employers want to hire you. You admit you should have been fired because of your own actions so why slander Protel? I've spoken to lots of people and the owner of Protel pays everyone as agreed. You have to admit, every employer has to protect their interests and the safety of the other employees against things like drugs and dissension ESPECIALLY from supervisors. Gary, you're a hothead and you let your emotions get the better of you. Get a grip and take some personal responsibility. This is not the place to air your complaints.. especially when you live in a fragile glass house. Protel isn't the problem here......

I wondered when you'd put your two cents in, BK, especially after what happened after you verbally assaulted our secretary and I had to keep 6 guys from stomping your ass. I believe if you knew how to read, you would see that I wrote that they drug tested me and the results showed that I was clean, so what the hell are you talking about? They used that as an excuse and was probably hoping that is was true. Hot head? Your the one who flew off the handle and started cussing a woman! You have a lot of nerve! Then went crying to Jim Davis at Time Warner, using your friendship to try and get me put off the job like a big bully who I wouldn't cowar to. Sorry pal, I have too much pride, and balls, to kiss anybody's ass for a dollar, though I am sure you have kissed much more than that to land some of your contracts! Mind your own business, as it does not pertain to you! As far as perspective employers, it must not be messing me up to bad, I am able to pick and choose where I want to go. See, the thing is I can actually DO the work as well, unlike guys like you who have the napolean complex and have to feel in control of someone.

Gary, you really don't know who I.. the better part of wisdom should be telling you to cool it. Protel is a good company and prob. better than most. And I wouldn't be talking so freely about drugs.. especially in your situation. Please Gary, don't burn so many bridges behind you.. you never know when you need to recross them. Things change everyday and tomorrow is a new day. Be well.
