eric, as to brakes for your trailer.cones do work preatty well..and if you have a second man on the next stick, have him pull the cable as tight as he can and it should lash up tight and sweet...m.m

Eric, I'm not a pro at construction but did you try double figure eighting your lasher and sending out a shot gun?, you can make them out of pvc, you can also make a trailer brake with a pin line, tie it up like a short grape vine

Eric, you are getting some good advice from these fine people, use it.
here is some more, using partials is part of your problem, they've been pulled off
of loaded, reloaded and toted around town on trailers and probably had cable rolled back up onto
them.Hard to make 'em pretty.trick is (especially for short pulls)set up as short as possible
and basically pull off through a 90.that takes out the "memory".Sometimes I will pull off the bottom if the cable is shitty
or I can't get close to the pole,This helps keep it tight too(takes some practice so try it out in the right kind of place).
Next, keep it tight, don't let slack back
and if you cant help it,those double sets of rollers will keep the wee-wahs down(I like 'em about 3 feet apart on
feeder.Remember no one will see or care about your sweat when the job is done. You dont want your lashing wire too
tight especially single lashing, it pulls your cable back and forth.overlash generaly looks like shit anyway. You can always try "raking"
it back over with your sticks(You do have lay up sticks, right?) but that sucks and will usually only take out the worst of it and it is not worth
your time.If the gigs are killing you, tell them to stick the partials up their @$$. This leaves only a few hundred more tricks left to learn so best of luck
I hope this helps you.
