Dennis - Project management for Protel on the AT&T/Time Warner upgrade. I do believe your right about it always being hot here! They say this is the place to be during winter though. Job is real close to being on remote, if you know anyone looking.

Hey Cable DAWGS, I am out here hanging single feeder only with no jig, no trailer brakes, no straighteners with a J-lasher,mostly partials. Is there anyway to not have wee-waws or do I have to buy the right equipment. The cable always looks good on the rollers but after lashing, it looks like hammered dog shit and I can't fix it!!!! Please help CABLE DAWGS

Eric,
It is always best to buy the right equipment
to do the job right. I know what you are saying
and its best to avoid doing it like that.

That doesn't sound like the Terry Brown I know...
Eric, sounds like you need a piece of carpet for you set up shoot! I think that would help... if you can't afford trailor brakes right now.

Good answer ..jobsup. Also if you dont have a jig make sure you have a swivel snap on the cable so it can unwrap as you pull the cable out.also when you have to use rollers, use 2 about 10 feet or so apart, like for driveway crossings or smaller road crossings, etc.Rather then 1 every 30'.One other thing that also helps is to go to the reel befor you start to lash and pull the cable tight ,then let some back in it for loops.
