Wow, I see some very ineteresting info that I forgot through the years. While you're at some old stuff, why do the "T" channels start at T-7 and go to T-13 instead of T-1 to T-7 ??????

Actually Doug, XMOD is defined as the ratio of the peak to peak amplitude of the modulation on the unmodulated test carrier to the peak level of the carrier........basically created by the non-linear amplification and mixing of multiple carriers in an amplifier..................C/N= Nt+Li-NF, measured relative to vidoe carrier, expressed in dB's....given the noise figure is provided by the manufacturer. Geostationary is 22,300 mile orbit, it takes at least 3 to cover the worlds surface. Gallium-Arsenide field effect transistor. Channels are demodulated-remodulated and placed on the MSO's desired frequency, combined, amplified and distributed. What is the trick to the amp clamp?

Terry Clark,
Are you willing to work in Austin or Corpus Christi Texas, it's long term new build work. If so give me a call and we'll see if the pricing is right. I'll be back in Austin tomorrow after 1 p.m. Call813-###-#### if the cell number has changed AT&T will give you the new number, I'm changing it from Florida to Texas as soon as the plane touches down.

Easy there flinhouse I wasn't trying to get that technical but I did go threw a couple books and it is 22,275 miles,35,850 kilometers to be exact, 500MHz of spectrum has been allocated in the 4 and 6 GHz frequency bands(3.7-4.2 and 5.925-6.425 GHz) 6 up, 4 down, the trip takes o.24 seconds at the speed of light, in free space (300,000,000 meters or 186,000 MPS)
