To all "new-bees" in biz, write w/ questions, I will respond one on one . Remember there are no dumb questions, only stuped mistakes. (20 Year catv & Related exp. vet). There are alot of bitter old "Dawgs" in biz, there the worst !, don`t like to see new blood in the industry. I like to see good people get ahead. Good Luck to you all ! SUPER MAN 0277@*****.com

Larry Edmisten has worked for me and I can say that he is a very upstanding individual. If you didn't get paid, it was probably due to the fact that you were part of the 19 man crew that were doing drop swaps and did not swap the Q-Clamp to the new package. Now what kind of havoc do you think that caused when the wreck out crew came along? Yeah, it f--ked up all kinds of siding and facial boards. He is still paying to repair the damages!

flinhouse...point taken. Once in a while I get the urge to stir s-it up. One thing though, dude. I ain't no dumb-ass, nor am I new to the business. When subs DO switch to satellite, there are those who won't. When all there is IS satellite, we will all be out of work. THEN, you can see how good you can gaff the side of a house. As far as staying off this site...see ya' round.

Hello my fellow cable dawgs,I thought I was going to dicuss cable issues in this chat room, but after reading a few of your remarks I agree with my boss, it's a soap opera. So lets see if we can talk about cable.I've been in cable twenty - nine years and I can't remem- ber MSO's having such a hard time with permiting issue's. We are currently working for three MSO's and two are having problems the third is design, which has become a problem itself. If your project is not walked off right you will have trouble the whole build. So any commemts ?

Whipple, some of us that monitor this site do like to talk about real issues. I agree that permitting is getting more difficult. Makes you wonder if that to is part of this current `anti-cable' fad. Another bothersome issue is the dbs providers now being capable of offering sat fed network affiliates, when catv mso's, at this time cannot....not a very level playing field. The kicker to this deal is that the dbs people received government funding for the current technology being used! What's up with that!
