Doug, Did not mean to offend anyone. I love my country and I believe in what we are doing. I have children and grandchildren - and no I don't think they would like me making a living on my back!!!!! Some of you may wonder why I even log on this site - I am keeping tabs on underground construction for the company my husband works with. I know all of you guys are hard working - well I'm sure some drag their feet - I personally appreciate everyone that puts in a good days work. So you guys hang in there and keep America rolling. Never know, you may be called on to change uniforms and I hope each and everyone of you will have the honor of doing so. Again, sorry if I offended anyone.

It was a general statement shane....don't take it personally. As for moving to the middle east, not a bad idea. It seems to be one of safest places on the planet. We sure seem be to having a problem getting one person out of there, namely Osama Bin Laden. The middle east is one hell of a lot safer than NYC. And short of using a lot of colorful metaphors and expletives, which I am capable of doing as my calling allows (cable dog), I would say that you Shane, are a poor excuse for an American. America stands for honor and understanding neither of which you seem to have. One other thing, I'll send you a new caps key for your keyboard, yours must be broken.

Doug, What about Pearl Harbor or the Nazi's and the concentration camps? There has always been reason for us to "kill those fu*@ers". I want justice, don't get me wrong. I live in New York. Hell, my uncle was the assistant FDNY Fire Chief that died in the collapse of the WTC. I worked with many people as well that were there that day. I want justice. I want the terrorists stopped. I want those that rejoiced at the desecration of innocence stopped. I want those that want to profit off of this (monetarily or otherwise stopped). It wasn't just "Afghani’s". To say though, when was the last time an Irish, Swedish, etc.. strapped on some TNT or whatever it was you said, what about Tim Mcviegh or the Unabomber? They weren't "towelheads" (as you so cleverly put it). They were your (in the general sense) next-door neighbors. The little boy you grew up with. They got what they deserved after taking so many lives. We punished no one but them. That is the same thing we should be doing now. We should leave it to the military to handle this one. I mean imagine if it were me out there, what a joke. I have a hard time killing a spider and not feeling guilty about it the rest of the day. I'm not saying that I feel guilty if the terrorists have to die. I just think that that's why we have a military, and I think we need to leave it to the brave men and women willing to fight for our country. Throughout history there have been great massacres, why when the English came here many Native Americans lost their lives and homes. They were pushed off their land and told that they had to live by the "new ways". Thank God that will never happen to us. I don't want to preach. I'm not trying to say either that "Love conquers all", That's why we have a military. I simply a young mother trying to make it in the cable industry. Trying to teach her boys the importance of hard work and good ethics. Sometimes I wish that I could put the in a bubble to protect them from all the evils out there, but I know that's impossible. So instead I try to teach them the right ways of life. And protect them as much as I can now. It frightens me what’s out there all around me. Anyone could be a mass murderer, rapist, pedophile, or yes, terrorist. Try to remember that. Those men that piloted those planes lived in this country for 15 years, unnoticed. Don't think that the Italian next door isn't capable of this. It could be anyone. Please take nothing of this personally, I don't mean it in any ay but as a reply. You are probably a very nice man, Hell, you work in cable, that counts for something. I think it was a little harsh about what you said about Shirley though. She was just sharing her feelings as you were yours. That's what's great about America, we can have our own opinions, and voice them too! Please don't take this the wrong way, but maybe it'll give you a little something to think about. Sorry that this is so much later than the original message, but for those that have young kids, you know how hard it is to get to the computer.
