our borders have been too lax for too long, this is what happens when you let people in who want a better way of life. unfortunately the evil comes in with the decent. it rains on the just and the unjust. judgement has come to us all, getting closer to God is the only peace to be had, we should be ready when HE comes for us. all tears will be dried and we will reign with HIM forever and ever. and what terrible things dr. falwell said, hes forgotten that Christ died 4 the sinners, he stayed among them not the saved, the saved clung to HIM after, thats where we should be, trying to lead as many to the Lord now as ever before, without HIM we are doomed and to forget to love the sinner is sin most horrible. where were we when Jesus extended His loving hand and pulled us out and offered the way to the Father? we should be in the streets shouting His glory and His coming and praising God for the mercy He has shown us against this evil man.

Today as we wake to the dawn of a new if uncertain world, we brace ourselves. We have seen with our own eyes, with disbelief, and horror, and anger, the end of an age. Soon each of us may face the greatest tests, trials, and tragedies, which the human race may ever have had to endure. Without a doubt there has been placed on our country's heart and soul, a grave and terrible debt that must now be atoned for in terms no less unconscionable. Again we are called to pay the price of freedom. Again we must band together as one to make whatever sacrifice is required to honor those who have gone before us. To show our undying respect, and belief in, that which so many have paid the highest price to offer us. Let us not so soon forget that freedom, and peace, and liberty, are not things that can just be passed on, or entrusted, or most importantly taken for granted. These things, these most vital and precious things must be continually earned. We must find the strength inside, and in each other, to again prove ourselves worthy of the challenge, and of the reward. We wake, with eyes pried loose from the illusion of security and stability. We mourn our loss and pray for salvation. May our descendants someday come to know and revere every name, every mother and father, sister and brother, every hero and helpless victim, who has already given all, and to all those who must yet make their ultimate contribution. This is a dawn of remorse, of revelation, a dawn of reaction and reevaluation. For when the day is done and the debt is settled, we must at all costs remember who we are and in what we believe. Do not believe for a moment that there is one enemy, one war, and one battle to be fought. We can look all around the world and find example after example of the negative effects of our own bad foreign policy and unbridled economic exploitation. Time after time, culture after culture ridden roughshod over in the name of progress, the worth and dignity of a people measured by their emersion into consumerism. In the name of democracy and national security we have supported dictators and criminals. After disaster and war and calamity we have given food and shelter and sympathy with one hand, and allowed our business interests to feed from the poverty and vulnerability with the other. To a large part of the world we have become not a great democracy but a great hypocrisy. The greatest victories we could ever hope to win are the ones we will face alone, against ourselves for these are the ones that not only define us but also will ultimately determine our fate. We must triumph over greed, and injustice, and oppression, for it can not be long argued that they are not the obvious cause of the malice held against us. We can never again hold high the truth of equal creation, and the fundamental rights of man, of liberty and justice for all, while at the same time allowing any number of us to gain power and wealth off of the weak and the hungry, the impoverished and the unprotected. To suffer the trade in misery and dependence, and to accept those who seek to gain from it into a free, enlightened society is not only ignorant but also dangerous. Be it within our borders or without, it is a corruption, a cancer, and a cowardly blow to the back of every thing this country is supposed to stand for. It must be now ended. Whether it be the most giant and powerful corporation making it's profit from the degradation of a people or their environment, or the lowest stockholder with no concern as to whom he owes his share. Whether it is the person down the road who has been so successful in extorting a fortune from his own most vulnerable countrymen, or the average consumer who does not care to think about just how much disparity is contained in the products they use. Yes even to those who have tread the road to authority, whom, with self-serving treason and the love of power in their hearts, have willingly and selfishly become the instruments of our own demoralization. We can no longer deny their existence or argue for them a place in a just and honest world. The time has come to cast them off, make them unwelcome in our homes, our lives, our institutions, otherwise we must forever continue to walk in fear of reprisal for the discontent, fear, and animosity they instill in our name. Fellow Americans, we must now choose to again be the example for the world to follow, or be made an example of. The future of everything we love, every hope, every dream, every conviction, is now. It falls to us. The choice will be made now. We will not continue on as we were. We will see the best and the worst that humanity has to offer. We will be tested as we have never before been tested. We must make the choice between the easy road to dependence and conformity, to acceptance of inequality and drudgery, to be led into a world where control is the only path to a tenuous and relative security, to live in a world where freedoms are defined in ever more narrow and shallow terms. Or we can now, not tomorrow, not after the dust has settled, not ever after this dawn of this new day, take the step forward bravely, though the road be hard and the day long, take our chance to decide for ourselves a future that we, and our children, and our fallen, our heroes, our ancestors, our allies, all the people of the human race, can be proud of. We can rise from the smoke and the ash and the twisted wreckage reborn and renewed. We can retake control of our own destiny. We can reawaken the dream of a higher society, where the leaders faithfully, diligently, honorably and openly lead towards the worthwhile goals of the people. Reaffirm the commitment of anyone who swears an oath to defend the ideals and the people of this country, to be held to a higher standard, to face a higher punishment for breaking that oath, and to trade the right of private indiscretion and personal gain to hold the honor of any public office. Reestablish the one indivisible nation of states where not only the individual, but also each diverse community of like-minded individuals is free to explore and advance a true cultural and ideological identity, to live and die, to rise or fall as each sees fit. Rebuild a place where the profit of the few is never weighed against the safety, the liberty, the property, or the peace-of-mind of the many. Reinvent a country where any of noble spirit and good intention can earnestly contribute to the positive evolution of a society, and be assured of finding and enjoying a place they can truly feel is their home. Re-institute the search for a sustainable balance, a civil harmony, and a lasting peace. For in it's essence, this, is the American dream. This, is the dream worth living, worth fighting for. We must question; we must open our minds, our hearts, and our eyes. We must ask ourselves what kind of life we wish to live, what we would wish for our children and our fellow man. All of our heroes, great and small, who have fought and struggled, and died, have done so to provide for us the rights and the privileges, and the responsibilities of the world's greatest society, a way of life, a freedom and an independence from oppression and tyranny, be it physical, financial or of any other form. We must ask ourselves if we wish to turn all of their dreams and sacrifices, and ultimately, inevitably our own, over to the profit driven vision of the world's greatest economy. We must ask ourselves if this is how we honor our dead, by placing a price on their priceless gift to us. We must ask ourselves if we are willing to squander away the lives and the promise of another generation for even less. We must ask ourselves if we truly wish to be a nation of competitors, of adversaries, of arrogance, and a wealth-based hierarchy. We must ask these questions, and many more, but we must also see them answered. We must demand total and complete integrity from anyone who would ask to lead us. We must demand that all of their policies, both foreign and domestic, place the ideals of the nation, the advancement of the society, and the rights and resources of all those affected, unreachably, unquestionably, beyond the grasp of any special interest, political, or economically driven agenda. We must demand an accounting, a true and utter evaluation, in laymen's terms, of every aspect and consequence of those policies, and of every dime spent and resource used. We must root out the corruption and waste and injustice in our governments, federal, state and local once and for all. We must put an end to the acceptance of value over virtue, the glorification of the violent and the perverse, to the very idea that one life is above another, more deserving than another, that one's rights are any less important than another's. We must teach our young not to accept being judged by the shoes they wear, the cut of their hair, their ability to compete with others, or the cars they drive. We must teach them that respect and dignity are not the right and privilege of those more fortunate. We must expose injustice wherever it is found, from the classroom to the courtroom to the boardroom. We must do a great many things, and many great things, many hard and perilous things, for we will pay a far greater price if we do nothing. We now find ourselves with a war to fight, a new level of war to face a new level of threat. A global war not defined by the expanse of borders but by the extremity of beliefs, a war between different worlds, between points of view. It will be a war that can not be won by force of arms, or the threat of sanction. It is a war to be fought against the deeds of the fanatic voice of the desperate, the disenfranchised, and the discontented. We must not send our sons and daughters into battle for the right one world to dictate the terms of existence to another world. We must show the people of the world that we have changed, that we march under the banner of the righteous, that we as a nation are committed to the rights of all people, of all beliefs. We must prove to them that we will no longer allow them to be used as cheap fuel to power an unbridled and all consuming global economy. We must place their dreams, their interpretations of a better life in their own countries equal to our dreams and visions for our own. We must stand as the champion of the common man or face him as our enemy. For if we do not, if we simply stroll into their world like conquerors and carpetbaggers to subjugate them and assign them some lowly place in our own world, be sure of this, our war will never end. We will never find peace. For every voice of resistance we strike down, ten will rise to take its place, and know this, not every voice will speak only of the visions of his holy one, or the sanctity of his sand. No, some will speak the language of the masses, the cry of the average man, the call to arms of any who know despair, or fear, or who feel treated unfairly. Do not forget that this is how we began our great nation, by spitting in the face of tyranny, we inspired our countrymen. By selflessly shedding our own blood for our beliefs, the few, the proud, the poor, the wretched,,,, cold and hungry and all but alone, fought against the domination the greatest power that existed in that time. We fought, we ran, we hid in bushes and caves, we destroyed the symbols of their authority over us, we humbled them, we defeated them, we gained our independence, and we proved to the world that it could be done. This is our own heritage, our own legacy. Never forget this; never let us become that which we so dearly struggled to escape. The choice is ours, the choice is yours, and the time is now. never let us become that which we so dearly struggled to escape. The choice is ours, the choice is yours, and the time is now.
