Good morning all,it has become a big joke to some, about these ip #'s and to others its not funny at all. Believe you me by the end of this week we will know'thats guarenteed. To Eily Mckay, thank you for your e-mail,This man Vp of Protel has indicated to me that he has had no part in this,so out of my respect for a friendship we once had,I am dropping the subject period.I have two boats to finish,by the end of this week,I'll be back on the road again.I have spoken to a number of splicers over the past weeks gentlemen,I'll be leaving soon.Expect a call from me to tell you where. In all honesty I see splicers on here saying I-###-#### a week is good money, let this old dog tell you its not!! It reminds me of the year when Andrew hit Florida,I worked the hurricane, and then I went to Roanoke Va. for CCI,a darn good Co.it was there that Jerry Jaradi and myself had a conversation as after I was there a week I gave him notice that I was leaving after my notice was up,his words were you dam. splicers won't stay around long enough for your feet to get cold.I told him: I'm sorry but this is how I see it.I'm not going to stay here and work for x # of $ when I can go some where else and make more for the same amount of work.We parted friends,I have worked for them since,I consider them one of the top Co.'s to work for.The best money I ever made in my life was last year in Tuscon,The design on the maps was not correct,as the asbuilts were incorrect making new maps wrong, during the time I was there.Everthing we did had to have a certain amount of redesign. It was very frustrating.I can only shudder to think what it would have been possible to make had they been correct.Protel paid me every dime they owed me ahead of time.I would not ever tell anyone not to work for them,I got paid, and made what I call big money from them. With all that has happened in this cement,I would still go back to work for them.I work for money not the B.S.that has gone on here in this cement. All I can tell anyone out there looking for work you need to know what questions to ask before you go to a job,or you have made a mistake before you start.I am not going to be on here all day any more this damn computer has nearly caused me a breakdown ,I never thought possible.Eily McKay old friend, thanks again for the e-mail.I will resolve this one even if this old dog is the one that takes the fall. For my wife an kids sake I hope I don't.If I have blackened anyone that did not deserve it,I apologise. This old dog is done playing on this computer.I'll check in every morning, just to say hello and to let any body interested know where I'm headed.I hope everybody has a great day and makes BIG $$$$$$$$$$ See YA

The following is the information you requested from the FCC Consumer
Center. Thank you for your inquiry.

Federal regulations restricting the content of material on the
Internet and the FCC may be directed to establish and enforce such
rules. However, since no legislation has been passed, FCC rules
do not apply to the Internet.
* The United States Department of Justice has a web site that gives
information on how to report Internet-related crimes. The web

* The FCC's Office of Plans and Policy has released a staff working
paper analyzing the implications of the Internet for the FCC and
telecommunications policy.

* City, county and state consumer protection offices provide consumers
with important services. They mediate complaints, conduct investi-
gations, prosecute offenders of consumer laws, license and regulate
a variety of professionals, promote strong consumer protection
legislation, provided educational materials and advocate in the
consumer interest.
* The FCC does not issue address assignments or domain names.
Please vist: http://www.internic.net/regist.html
* Modem Speeds: FCC Rules do not specify minimum requirements for baud
rates and/or modem speeds over ordinary, voice grade phone lines.
In their tariff filings, some telephone companies provide general
language addressing the issue, in statements along the lines of
"The telephone network is furnished for the transmission of voice
communications but may also be used for data, facsimile, signaling,
metering, or other similar communications, subject to the trans-
mission capabilities of the service."
This means that the telephone company is not committing a violation
when, for example, a customer has a 56 kbps (kilo bits per second)
modem but is not able to transmit/receive data over the telephone
network at the modem's full capability.
