Unions bring a lot of unwanted bagage with the security they offer, I've found that if you do your home work, and get EVERYTHING in writing, signed, sealed and filed in your laywers safe, they are less likely to target you, the main thing is doing your home work, if it smells like shit,,,,,,,,,,,

(Splicerlife4me),........ No more questions. I no longer am in the posistion to benefit by a union. though many years past it sure would have been of a great benefit to the
" working man". Someone to watch your back so you can concentrate on the job and not worry about other issues ;....Pay, health benefits, lodging, Set percentages, workers comp, travel, and the list goes on.............
With the RIGHT leadership this would be of GREAT benefit to the industry.

Gentlemen, I need your assistance with an on going problem that is plaguing the NE,,tool theft. Eustis Cable had a job site hit this week end and they cleaned out 3 trucks, among the tools that were taken were: 3 J lashers as of now I only have one serial # 6357, 3 tanaka drills, 1 cap stand, 1 chain saw, 8 sherman rylies, 3 impact guns, 2 chain hoists, 24 4 way lock downs, 12 750 rollers, a brand new anchor cranker, and all their personal gear. WMCC got all their construction trucks hit in Stoughton, Mass 2 weeks ago, so if you are working or have crews working in the NE watch your gear. Who ever is doing this has to be in the loop, how else would they know what trucks were on what jobs and what tools to take or leave. The tools are headed, ( my guess ) south or west, please keep an eye out for any "good deals", all the proper authorities have been contacted but I feel that the cable world needs to be notified also. There is nothing worse than a thief, if anyone has any information concerning this matter please contact Eustis Cable at: 800-###-#### or WMCC at: 800-###-####,any of WMCC's gear will have green paint on it, when I get more information concerning this problem I will post it here,as I stated earlier any information what so ever will be deeply appreciated, Thank you.

Probably somebody that got pissed off at the Mountain, Doug. Lot of construction going on down here in Texas, and I know how the Mountain marks their gear, so I'll definitely drop them a line if I run across any. They should hang cable thiefs like cattle rustlers. That would make them think twice! These assholes know how much a lineman's gear means to him, and that is how they support their families, so it takes a pretty low life s.o.b. to do something like that!!!

Doug, ......... I feel for you, there`s nothing worse than to have some lowlife, scum-of-the-earth, a**hole come along and steal. When they catch the ones responsible maybe you should post who it is, possibly someone we all may know. . . . .
Good luck to you, sorry to here of the loss.
