yobie, go check the job out...it just wasnt my kind of job...that DOES NOT mean its a bad job...lots of jobs out there that i dont want, and that DOES NOT those are bad jobs...it always takes 2 or 3 jobs until you find a 'keeper'. if you hit the 1st job and find thats the 'keeper', you have deffinately beaten the odds.

for all who want toknow WHY gdi owes me money, here it is...i worked for them the first day i was in town (also my LAST day in town). i went to the field and to my dismay, there were NO loops, in OR out. since i wasn't given a spec sheet, i drove around looking at close by already retro'd stuff...some had loops, some didn't. i chose to put input loops in for my l.e.'s, but no output loops, not giving it a second thought. end of the day i had about 7 taps left to do but i let them run for the night (had the right amount of signal). i went back to the office and inquired about the loops. i was told they DIDN'T KNOW what the systems specs were, but that they would like to see inputs on al le's and splits. i told them what i did, just as i have written here, and got my materials for the next day. after leaving and figuring up the money end of completed and potential work, i decided it would be i my best interest to find a different job. i returned to the shop and unloaded my bucket, explaining the reason. i asked that my 1 day earnings of x amount of dollars be sent to my house and i was assured that it would be. 1 week later, gdi calls my house wanting to talk to me...i call them and they say i WON'T be paid because there were no output loops AND i didn't run any vgr's (which were NEVER billed). sad they had to backcharge me for the above items unless i wanted to come back and fix it all and i refused. i was told that they would fix it and that i would recieve a check within 2 weeks...it has been 3 and no check, nor any invoice for the work that was "backcharged". i asked someone to tell gdi i wanted my money and DAMN! i cant believe people think thats crying. well i wont die without my money but im NOT going to just let them screw me without at least saying "ouch".

thanks splicer that really sucks no specs i mean thank for the onfo i guess ill just go and check it out 80$ an amp 55$ le 12.50 a tap not all that bad hey when is cabl chat and how do i get on it please let me know know any thing about ccg any good thanks yobie

Hey Mark when are you going to learn to spell ? The proper way to spell laff is laugh.Just busting your chops!! To begin with what I wrote last night didn't have anything to do with you,you miss understood,we had it out last year,I hope all of that is behind us. Yobie you asked about GDI,over all they are a good Co. They have one of the shortest payroll turn arounds in this business.Any large co. has its problems,the reason Mark probably hasn't been paid is he probably pissed off someone ,that is between him and a check.Thats not GDI's fault,fault in this situation belongs to some prick "SOB" that works for them,GDI would have no way of knowing, they only have the pricks word, on what happened,He sure as hell, won't sing "splicers" story.Understand that I have used GDI's name only in a hypethetcial situation as I consider them a good Co..Are you a sub or inhouse? I've been in this business 22yrs,seen come and seen um go .If your a real cable dog it will get in your blood . IF you need some good work I can put you on some,provided your not green or a hack.If you are a sub I can do alot better than those prices,you stated earlier. "Whitfield"
