Splicerlife4me, it is not really a dumb idea. They are thinking ahead, if they have to run fiber they will not have fiber or coax to squeeze in.Pain in the ass that is makes since.

BUT I DO SEE YOUR POINT ABOUT TERMINATING LEGS ON DEAD END STREETS WITH NO PLACE TO GO. WHAT M.S.O. ASKING FOR THIS, BECAUSE THEY DO NOT LIKE SPENDING WHERE IT IS NOT NEEDED.

Tuned up my truck plugs,points, cap rotor and increased my mpg 15%, New air filter gave 8% more; a set of radial tires gave another 11%!! Ten miles down the road I had to pull over and siphon gas out the tank was overfull
