Hey TC Whats up ,called you yesterday,talked to Big Dan,guess it was to early in the morning for him to take and rember a message.I hadn't ever heard of a hatchet marlin either.Every time I think of marlin,I recall that mate on the Trophy Box,I'm sure you rember ,it was during the Big Rock Blue Marlin Contest,held here in our home town,the mate became intangled in the leeder when they had a huge blue along side the boat,the fish decided he was going back down and took the mate with him,to the astonishment of all who witnessed it.God rest his soul .He was never recovered,lost at sea.Thats not how I want to go out.Enough jibber jabber,I'll be at the house working on my bucket truck if you want to stop by. Well I'll be damned if you are not still alive Gerry Whitfield.thanks for the reply.Yes in reference to the 1st mate lost at sea during the Big Rock Blue Marlin tournament, We were talking about him also. It really was traumatic for the rest of the crew, and his wife was 8 months pregnant with thier first child.I can relate after watching Larry Martin plummet to his death,hitting the water face first from 10,000 feet,these things never seem to leave your mind. maybe I'll get the chance to stop by your house before I leave for Florida.
