Hey Gary, Did the conferance call with Buddy, Bill, and Dave Fri. and am sorry to say that we didn't reach an agreement.After haveing 6 bucket trucks sit for a week had to make other arrangements although I would like to honor my commitments to Adelphia I feel we would be hurting the industry by lowering the prices. Myself I want to see the prices go forward I dont like stepping backwards as I'm sure you understand. If Star Comm. is low balling to get work I sure wish they would reconcider as this is what hurts us all........................Maybe down the road regards...........

does anyone know where I can get a good torch? 3/4" head(Media One specs) sure fires suck and sears stopped making the one's on the hose,we go threw 10 a week, I have yet to find one that can keep up with a splicer.

MSO's do funny things, they send people out to QC retro splicing that have never spliced,they get pissed at you because your using up all the bom on the retro that it was ordered for, when your out of locking terminators they order a thousand, the agc carriers are set on ch#70 but they want you to set up on 116,they are so worried about the roll off in digital that they induce x-mod threw the video,they want rough balance to do complete documentaion when sweep is coming in 2 days behind them,they don't bench any thing and get pissed at you when a molule craps out,first they don't want to give you any spares if they do go out on the call they'll power it wrong and smoke the whole node,they are so much smarter than us but when we hand them over a completed node they don't know what to do with it, lost I think is the word, "THERE'S TAILS EVERYWHERE!!!" roll a truck and it's bell,they use bishop tape,they want everything spliced so they can reach it off hooks but they don't have anyone that can climb, they concider one customer "AN OUTAGE!,how many of you have ever got that call, "WE HAVE AN OUTAGE!"I could go on and on, I think they are the ones that came up with the idea to put braille on the drive threw ATM's.

hey doug and any 1 else that is interested...torch's on the hose are now made by burnz-o-matic. you can get them at home-depot for 49.99. they also now carry a select assortment of kline tools. end of advertisement...............

Mr. McIntosh, I have been reading this B.s. for the last three weeks about how STAR screwed you. but to set the record straight I need to put my two cents in. You stole from Star, for one the meter that you falsly accused googly for taking, the prebilling for nodes you did not do, and for the time and energy from everybody to set the record straight. Your theory is bill now and do later. The N.S.F. you are talking about is probably about work that you did not do in the first place. The problem with your theory is that you never get around to doing it or you half ass it and exspect somebody else to clean it up. you are better off sticking with your tatoo business and stock market...because in C.A.T.V. INDUSTRY NOBODY WANTS A HALF-ASS PREBILLING M..FKER LIKE YOU.

I came here to see how everyone is doing again........
Some have said that they don't want to read this stuff. Other's have said, shut the @#%@ up.
I think that "many" in this industry really need to be able to come somewhere and "vent", "talk", complain, moan, groan...etc.
I believe it is theraputic.
I may not agree with some, I may not like to read some.
But, the bottom line is......If I don't wont to read it! I don't read it!
So those of you that feel it's a waste of time to read! Just fast forward man! Let others live their life.
In other words "deal with it"!
