Then you sir, are no doubt the reason your pay is so low. You just admitted to accepting jobs and working for under cost. Then you whine that someone is taking advantage of you. I don't know how many times I must say this but here it is again:
DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE YOU ACCEPT A JOB! Know what the full scope of the work is by an onsite visit. Know who you are working for BEFORE you take the job. Meet them in person. Know they pay on time. Know what is in your contract with them.
Know ALL your costs. I mean ALL (not most) of your costs; gas, oil, tires, repairs, insurance, lodging, meals, phone, internet, tools, legal/accounting fees, licensing fees, unemployment SUDA/FUDA, vehicle depreciation, to name a few.
And most important, DO NOT WORK FOR UNDER YOUR COST AND PROFIT MARGIN for any reason. The idea is to make money, not to finance someone else's business. If you really want to help the pay scale in this business, quit accepting jobs that pay under your costs! Everybody would be better off by you taking a job at McDs. Then your pay would be higher. And the pay of others who wont accept a job for under costs will also benefit.
Bottom line: don't complain about your low paying job, correct the problem by changing to a better job that also pays better.
