That's exactly how us old dawgs worked every day and loved every second of it. When we first got buckets we parked them and worked conventional,much to the chagrin of our boss. We wore our hooks all day,wiggle sticked every pole and climbed a layup stick or a bull rope to deal with midspan issues. Miss those days
