I would go with the LM42. I've used both the 42s and 35s. Actually using a 35 now that is 31yrs old and still cranking. But the 42 def has more power, especially when going through roots/rocks. I do enjoy hauling the 35 more than the 42, less weight and less gas but the 42 takes the cake.
