Let see if I can help you; as I recall the letters indicate bandwidth. Generally the higher the letter the higher the bandwidth. No letter is a lower bandwidth, maybe 300 or 450 MHz.  

Some of the older housing have frequency roll off, poor return loss, limited AC correct specs. 

I dont know all the sub nomenclature of the taps off the top of my head but I would guess you could find it online. Here is a link that may be helpful.

The 23/29 taps act like a 29 in the forward direction and 23 in the reverse direction.
