Job Description
Project Summary: Utilities One Inc is looking for qualified underground crews in the state of Michigan, east of Saginaw, to manage the construction of a rural fiber optic network and MST’s. If you are running a contract company interested in Underground and Aerial Construction in this region, we may have an opportunity for you.
Underground and Aerial Construction: Work will be 12" below the neutral (power zone) including but not limited to plowing, trenching, directional drilling, cable placement, hand hole placement, and conduit proofing.
This is a long-term ongoing project that is already running, so work is available right away. As a Subcontractor, you must provide your own tools and equipment, meet insurance requirements and willing to relocate.
Project Description: network modernization investments to expand the fiber footprint and enable a larger drop-ready network. Implementation will consist of the end-to-end build of the fiber and associated equipment with focus on rural areas.
Project Duration: 5 years
Region: Michigan
Soil Conditions: Mixed
Equipment required: All equipment and tools necessary for Underground and Aerial Construction, insulated bucket truck.
Interested administrators must maintain the following:
1. Valid COI
2. W-9 Form
3. Osha 10 or Osha 30 Certificate, along with CPR/First Aid certificate for the crew leader, Power zone certification
4. For each employee: I-9 Form and an Identification Card
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of Underground and Aerial Construction experience;
- Knowledge of materials, methods, equipment, and tools involved in the underground and aerial cable installation.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
