Qualifications

Fully Equip Fiber Splicer with the ability's to troubleshoot and repair multiple HFC network scenarios. This means tracking storm related cable damage, proposing construction repairs and repairing fiber to reactivate sections of the network affected.

MUST BE FULLY EQUIPPED AND READY TO DEPLOY

Job Description

TROUBLESHOOT AND REPAIR FIBER NETWORKS AFFECTED BY HURRICANE.

Must be ready to deploy with all Fiber Splicing Tools needed to complete newly constructed fiber sections replacing damaged fiber sections. Must be able to run OTDR traces and isolated damages to propose construction repairs.
Must be equipped with core alignment fusion splicers, VFL's, Power meters, Light traffic Identifiers, OTDR and a variety of hand tools to open a variety of fiber optic cables properly.
Must be able to work long hours to reactive down circuit's.
Must know how to properly audit a closure to preform a proper cutover.
Must be prepared for safety, high voltage detector, safety harness, hard hat, boots, night lights, etc.
