Utilities One is looking for experienced Outside Plant Technicians for the following locations:
1. Coeur d'Alene, ID;
2. Post Falls, ID;
3. Hayden, ID;
4. Spokane, WA;
5. Libby, MT.

Responsibilities:
- Installation of underground and aerial telecommunications cabling, boring, trenching, etc. ;
- Undertake pole removal, pole transfers, and set and install new underground cables;
- Provide the needed services for the construction, operation, and maintenance;
- Aerial fiber optic cable placement and pole setting/transfers;
- Operate hydraulic aerial lifts and ladders mounted to trucks;
- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair overhead and underground fiber lines;
- Fiber pulling, boring, and splicing;
- Read, understand and interpret blueprints;
- Lift, carry and hold building material, tools and supplies;
- Perform other duties as required and assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of Underground and Aerial Construction experience;
- Knowledge of Fiber Optic Cabling is a must;
- Knowledge of materials, methods, equipment, and tools involved in the underground and aerial cable installation;
- Capable to perform all duties in Utility construction;
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions;
- Ability to travel for work;
- A valid, unrestricted driver’s license;
- Lineman, Power, or Telecom Trade School is an advantage.
