Job Description
Immediate Contract to Hire for experience VSAT installers. (Experienced Service Call contractors welcome to apply, Service calls are based on a flat rate ) Contract to Hire VSAT Techs will be working in a 2-person team. You will travel together to job sites that will typically require 2-3 days to complete the required work. As travel to these sites are throughout the United States, you will be required to be out of town for up to 4-5 days at a time, possibly up to 10 days depending on back to back scheduling opportunities. Responsibilities will include but not limited to working with the following types of equipment.
• 2-way Satellite systems, cabling and grounding materials.
• Radio masts and hardware.
• Rack systems/cabinets, modems, routers, firewalls etc.
• Service entry boxes and conduit.
• Cellular equipment.
• Meters and test equipment.
MUST HAVE:
• Experience with VSAT and cellular systems an asset.
• Experience with AC & DC wiring and conduit installations
• 2 yrs of hands on electrical experience
• Some knowledge of computers, routers and general networking.
• Working on ladders.
• Able to lift 75lbs
• Working with various hand tools eg; drills, wrenches etc.
• Ability to understand and adhere to company business practices and procedures.
• Completion of required documentation such as Job Site Analysis, General Work Permits, Hot Work Permits, Completion Reports, etc.
• Flexible with time scheduling to meet customer needs.
• 1099 independent contractor position (Contract to hire available)
• Provide certificate of insurance for liability insurance and vehicle insurance
• Valid Drivers License and Must be able to work in the United States
• Able to pass a background check & drug test
• Ability to carry, climb and maneuver an 80-pound, 28-foot extension ladder
• Able to work in varying outside weather conditions
• Able to work safely and efficiently by yourself
• 1099 independent contractor position
