Job Description
We have a Permit & Locate Assistant position open here at BFK Communication. We are looking for a motivated person to join our team. Accepting applications on Monday - Friday only from 8am to 11:30 am & 1 pm to 3pm (11218 Limestone Driver #4, Balch Springs, Texas. Entrance is off Peachtree next door to Paul’s Automotive). Duties:
Request for permit for aerial & underground construction for each job as needed.
Request for utility locates to be completed by TX811.
Create as request Traffic Control Plan (TCP) for job as needed.
Documenting information to each job, as needed.
Scanning, sending out emails, Egnyte Connect is our cloud base, Workzone is our other software.
Can’t be shy as they will be dealing with CFO, CEO, VP, coordinators, crew and sub-contractors.
Able to tell someone no and not feel bad about it. (No appointment go away attitude)
Other duties may be deemed by supervisor.
Experience:
Reading construction blue prints (underground/aerial)
Construction atmosphere
Able to multi-task as needed.
Must have time management skills.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
Able to keep sensitive information confidential at all times.
Able to enforce and comply with company policies and procedures.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Email, Word and Excel).
Knowledge of construction permits, a plus.
Workzone software (Will Train)
Knowledge of TX811, a plus.
Math skills
Data Entry
Bilingual, a plus
Problem solving
Construction atmosphere
Google Maps
Monday - Friday, no weekend.
7 am - 4pm, 1 hour lunch
Dress code: jeans/t-shirt style
After 60 days, Health, Dental Vision offered
