Utilities One Inc is looking for a qualified Outside Plant Engineer for Kennewick and Spokane, Washington State, and Bay Area, California State.

Job Description:

The OSP Engineer works closely with the Project Management team by assisting in the preparation of long-range plans, exchange and system designs, forecasts, estimates, budgets, plans and specifications, inspection, testing, and other related duties. This role maintains a close working relationship with the Construction team to support build activities within the network. Additional duties include contract preparation, administration, and finalizing documents.

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of the Outside Plant Engineer is to design, prepare, and maintains maps to accurately document CTC facilities;
Utilizes GIS software to prepare layouts and detail drawings;
Provides timely utility permits with accurate designs to accompany projects development and maintains a filing system for copies of engineering drawings and related materials;
Responsible for designing communications networks, both aerial and underground, in rural, suburban and urban settings;
Provide inspection and QA/QC on construction activities to ensure the communications network is installed in accordance with contractual and permit requirements;
Ensure all work is performed safely;
Must have a detailed understanding of contractual requirements;
Prepares regular reports to document production;
Continuously updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations;
Work with management to schedule work and manage workload to meet customer and Company expectations;
Qualification:

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the communications, construction, or engineering industries;
Must have extensive knowledge of communications systems, engineering, permitting, and construction methods;
Ability to oversee multiple projects in various stages and intervene as required
Degree in Telecommunications Engineering.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
