Qualifications
Must be fully competent in industry standard aerial & underground fiber splice practices and specifications. Majority is UG splicing.
Other Requirements
Preferred to have all tools and equipment necessary to splice fiber. However trucks and equipment is available for lease if needed.
Job Description
• Splice fiber optic cables including both loose tube and ribbon cables including building fiber cases to customer specs
• Splice Coax trunk and feeder cables with activation to customer standards
• Preform Bi-directional OTDR testing, along with power meter testing and record splice losses
• Flexibility to work on-call rotation or emergency situations when needed
• Experience in fiber mid sheath entries/cuts
• Must be able to turn in field reports w/ photo backups weekly (In format specified by costumer)
• Must be able to use Microsoft Excel
