Description:
Want to work with a great Team? Source Broadband Services is seeking a BROADBAND/TELECOM OSP AERIAL LABORERS interested in building a long – term career in the aerial telecommunications / cable industry.
We work for various telecom companies, including both telephone and CATV providers; primarily performing maintenance, commercial new build, and new plant extensions. There may be occasional out of town travel required.
This position requires work in inclement weather and non-climate-controlled environments and may require overtime work with short notice during stand – by rotations. The ideal candidate will meet the requirements listed:
Qualifications:
• 2+ years’ experience in CATV/TELCO fields.
• Experience with CATV / Broadband construction specifications
• Must have experience with placing strand, copper, coax and fiber in an aerial environment (aerial lash)
• Be able to lift up to 75lbs
• Ability to operate and work out of a boom truck
• Ability to climb poles to place strand, copper, coax, and fiber when necessary
• Ability to perform CATV and Telecom Pole transfer
• Ability to Coax Splice is highly desirable
• Must be able to read & understand prints, maps & construction plans
• Experience with Placement/Removal of utility poles
• Ability to problem solve in a timely manner
Requirements:
• Excellent attendance record
• Strong communication skills – ability to work positively and effectively with multi person crews and Customers
• Computer skills to include basic Microsoft Office – Word and Excel
