Experience in aerial and underground fiber splicing construction; Ability to mount both aerial and underground closures using snow shoes, etc. as applicable; Class C drivers license and excellent driving record required; Excellent communication skills to communicate with staff, management team, client or outside officials or other representatives; Bilingual Spanish a plus

Must be able to climb a 28' ladder. Having a truck to carry the 28' ladder to location is a plus.

- Read aerial and underground fiber splicing prints.
- Complete jobs in a timely and cost- efficient manner according to customer specifications and industry standards.
- Complete job site documentation, such as safety checklists, time, and production sheets etc.
- Operate single and multi-mode fiber splicing machines
- Operate fiber splicing machines for single and ribbon splicing
- Test fiber using OTDR and hand held test equipment for unidirectional and bi directional testing applications
- Troubleshoot and repair fiber splices not within test reading requirements
- Work in and around ongoing construction areas to perform fiber splicing activities
- Utilize test equipment to trouble shoot and repair fiber not within acceptable tolerance readings
